Excellent location, RER-B train and tubes just around corner, Notre Dame and Louvre at short walking distance. Good boulangerie just downstairs. A lot of bars and restaurants available. The room was a bit worn out but clean. A small kitchenette for making breakfast and/or afternoon tea/coffee. The staff was helpful, even my french is very poor.

It's well located in heart of Paris on north shore , but a little bit hard to find for its in a short road. It's small and comfortable but noisy in the evening . There is no elevator just small stairs . Subway is nearby , but there are many lines and easy to confused .

The hotel is well located with the Louvre and Forum both close by. Lots of lovely cafes and bars around. The front desk staff are amazing. When asked about local sights, they not only explain in detail, but they even print a map and mark it for you. They even told me about the oldest boulangerie in Paris, which was...

First the Good Points: 1. Location; 100 meters from Chatelet Metro which connects to RER. That means 30 min. to CDG; 10 min. to Louvre; 5 min to Notre Dame. Save $$ on taxis. Dozens of restaurants within 200 meters inc. a Starbucks and a Monoprix market. Right next door to a nice bakery. 2. Kitchenette: rare to have a...

This small hotel is in a fabulous position in Paris. Walk to the Louvre, the Seine, the Opera, Flower market, Notre Dame and a bit further to the Eiffel Tower. Surrounded by shopping, restaurants, markets and sights, the hotel provides a comfortable and friendly base. We stayed three nights, and would have been happy to spend much more time here....

We loved this little hotel, it has all the charm and service you want when visiting the city of lights. Highly recommended from family who had stayed here before, this hotel did not disappoint. It's beautifully decorated with bright soft furnishings and fabrics. Lots of colour and very quaint. It's by no means minimalist! Beautiful windows that open out to...

My husband and I stayed six nights at the Hotel des Halles in June. Its location is perfect. It’s very close to many main attractions, stores, and Metro/RER stations. We stayed in the room of the 5th floor. The hotel has a small elevator. Room was small but very clean with bath tub and kitchenette. In addition, we prerequested microwave....

Stayed in twin room on 5th floor. Room faced afternoon sun which meant it was a hot box at night. No aircon just portable fan. Noise from outside loud if you leave the window open. Old dated rooms, clean yes, but rooms not good in summer.

I'm about to spend my 3rd night out of 4 in this excellent hotel. It is very close to the Chatelet Metro, and buses on the Rue de Rivoli, in the bustling Marasi section of Paris. Rooms are named after certain Paris landmarks and I'm in the Palais Royal on the 3rd floor. The lift (elevator) meant that I didn't...

Staying in Les Halles

Neighbourhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
