Since 2002, we've stayed at Tulipe four times, the last being in 2009. We returned to Paris this May for a brief stay and booked Tulipe. The room we were given was extremely small, smaller than the others we've stayed in. The maid did not...More
So the location is the best thing about this property!! Very ideal near the tower and 2 metro stops. However it needs a lot of help. The shower has mold growing everywhere. The pillows are so old and thin. The courtyard could be so cute...More
Loved the hotel and location. 10 min walk to 2 Metro stops. Quaint courtyard we weren't able to use because it was too cold. Family room(s), #3 & 4, was perfect with a double and single in one room, a double in the other and...More
This is a typically Parisian hotel, but certainly one of the better ones of its genre - very charming, very old, with small rooms up narrow stairways and continental breakfast in the morning, in a very Parisian neighborhood. Given the time of year I couldn't...More
This Hotel is very charming, calm and very well situated. The place is a little bit old, but that is exactly what makes the charm. I loved it. It was clean and everything was working well. The people were very friendly. I can recommend this...More

With the Eiffel Tower at its core, the Invalides area of Paris is guaranteed to impress. Golden towers and Baron Haussmann's urban vision meet military precision, stretching avenues, and luscious lawns. The area boasts the Musée D’Orsay, the tomb of Napoleon, the National Parliament and UNESCO, as well as luxurious, exclusive residences. In fine restaurants and at the weekend markets, families, diplomats, and
politicians brush shoulders with the tourists who come to see this postcard-perfect area for themselves.

The breakfast at this hotel is extra. It was a small basket of bread/rolls, yogurt and coffee. The cost was about 11 Euros and not worth it. I can't answer regarding the air conditioning since I was there in January but if the rest of my experience was the norm, I would guess that there is no air conditioning. The hotel is overpriced and not comfortable at all...don't even try to get your suitcases up the narrow (and that's being generous) staircase.
