Although it has been some years since we stayed with the family Fortuit, and I found some of the Eastern late night desk staff a little cool, the hotel is good value, a great location in an important area(7ieme) and when I stayed alone and...More
The location of the hotel is great. Very short walk down to the river and to the bike hire stations. Not far from the eiffel tower or the markets at Rue Cler. There are some lovely little restuarants around, so lots of choices. There are...More
Room was clean, but basic.
There was a lovely courtyard where we had our breakfast, however there wasn't much to choose from.
The staff were okay, not that friendly or helpful- everything just seemed pretty average! Not awful but not great either!

What a treat this small hotel has been. Charming, and attractive, very clean and comfortable and so conveniently located. The staff has been very helpful, calling taxis, offering advice, and generally quite welcoming . I will stay here again and again. Be warned that there...More
We chose this as much as anything for the location. We've been to the 7th arrondissement before and found it a great base for exploring Paris. It's central, but quiet as it is covered in college and diplomatic buildings.

With the Eiffel Tower at its core, the Invalides area of Paris is guaranteed to impress. Golden towers and Baron Haussmann's urban vision meet military precision, stretching avenues, and luscious lawns. The area boasts the Musée D’Orsay, the tomb of Napoleon, the National Parliament and UNESCO, as well as luxurious, exclusive residences. In fine restaurants and at the weekend markets, families, diplomats, and
politicians brush shoulders with the tourists who come to see this postcard-perfect area for themselves.

The breakfast at this hotel is extra. It was a small basket of bread/rolls, yogurt and coffee. The cost was about 11 Euros and not worth it. I can't answer regarding the air conditioning since I was there in January but if the rest of my experience was the norm, I would guess that there is no air conditioning. The hotel is overpriced and not comfortable at all...don't even try to get your suitcases up the narrow (and that's being generous) staircase.
