Very comfortable and clean room in an excellent hotel, located very centrally in France. The shower was fantastic, and the bed was lovely. Superb location, very close to the metro in Saint German des-Pres. 10-15 minute walk from many top tourist attractions, including the Louvre and Note Dame. Free bottle of wine provided on arrival, and a Samsung mobile phone...

This boutique hotel tucked away in the heart of St Germain is incredible! We stayed in room 15 (in the courtyard) and we were very impressed indeed. The hotel is perfectly located and with the use of the mobile provided we were able to walk to all the major attractions that Paris has to offer. When we visit again I...

We found this hotel via Alastair Sawday's Special Places website, and it really is a very special place to stay in Paris. We had a lovely welcome on arrival, the staff are friendly and unassuming, perfectly suited to the calmness of the hotel. The rooms are beautifully and tastefully furnished - we were on the 2nd floor facing the street...

Our third stay. Most of the hotel has been refurbished over the last few years and now looks very smart indeed. We were upgraded to the top(5th) floor suite, which lives up to its billing but the other rooms we've stayed in are good too - quiet, comfortable and clean. Staff are extremely helpful. The location, in an area of...

Well located boutique hotel in st germain area with heaps of small cafes within walking distance. Good size comfortable rooms and facilities . Check in was simple and very professional and friendly. Worth checking out the breakfast on the lower floor. Staff were great and very helpful. This hotel is only a short walk to the Louve ( 5 minutes)...

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
