Hotel have great location and there's a lot restaurants and shops around. Our room was really small but that's Paris so I didn't expect anything else. There's no elevator and stairs are pretty steep so if this bothers you then this isn't hotel for you 😉 We wanted something that will have Parisian look and charm so we didn't mind...

Booked here for 2 nights to see Springsteen at Bercy Arena. Easy to get to from Gard du Nord just a few stops on the Metro, and the hotel is a very short walk from the nearest Metro stop. Despite its location, the streets were very quiet late at night, although maybe not at the weekend. Room was clean and...

Our room was small even for Paris, however everything worked in the room and the bed was very clean. The style of the rooms is very out-dated even though it's an old style hotel. Carpet looked like its from the 60's! You would really be staying here for the location which is very central. We didn't have the breakfast but...

The greatest feature of this hotel is its location: just a small walk from Chatelet-Les-Halles, one of the main underground stations in Paris, with plenty of restaurants and shops around. On the downside, it is a bit noisy at night because of passers-by. The rooms are fine but because it is an old building, they are really tiny, basically just...

If you land @ CDG airport getting to hotel is a breeze (RER to Les Halles and a short walk). It's about a mile from the Louvre, Notre Dame, and Le Centre Pompidou. The hotel is in a Historic building, meaning you should expect small rooms, narrow steep stairs w/no elevator, and plan on carrying bags yourself. This is a...

The rooms are small, as usual in such kind of hotel in Paris. The bathroom was quite modern and rather big. We felt very comfortable in this beautiful hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I am sure we will come back there.

I rested in this hotel for two nights. Only one good point is fine location. But other issues are not satisfied at all. 1."Rounded" stairs WITHOUT elevator. 2.Staff DO NOT help carrying our luggage upstairs. This is CONTRADICT to hotel advertisement!!! (In advertisement, hotel stated that we will carry your stuff as the hotel dont have elevator) Note that we...

I used this hotel for location. It is 2 blocks from the Chatelet-Les Halles station, which if taking the RER from airport, is convenient. Although there is major construction at this station currently it wasn't a huge problem (however, if more than 2 bags it could get heavy) The hotel's prices are what got me there. I stayed on top...

Pros: - Cute hotel - Very nice receptionist - Good location,10 minutes walk from train and right next to the shuttle to the Beauvais airport - Even though it's on a main street, the location is quiet Cons: - Our room had a tiny shower with poorly closing doors - Shared toilet outside the room

Hotel du Cyne is located right near restaurants, shopping and major attractions. Although the rooms are smaller than your average "hotel", you cant beat the customer service that the hotel provides. Specifically, Damien, who was beyond helpful with everything. He helped us with directions, where to shop/eat, taxis, and even went as far as ordering us a pizza on a...

Staying in Les Halles

Neighbourhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The timelessness of the place, the warmth of the fabrics and materials as well as the presence of wooden period furniture carefully gathered from years of going round the Clignancourt flea market, they all take part in the maintenance of a cosy atmosphere here at the Hôtel du Cygne. It is an invitation to relaxation and well-being and your host Isabelle has made sure everything has been taken care of so that you feel completely at home. What is more, this lifestyle can be enjoyed in the 20 rooms of the hotel, each one being specifically furnished with taste. Hence, every room has a unique character due to the attention paid to each one of them. For example, a writing desk in the French Empire style can be found next to a piece of polished Provençal furniture or even an Art Deco occasional table. Or you may also like how a particular bedspread actually matches curtains which are delicately adorned with ribbons or even the small bag of lavender that we put in the cupboards so that the rooms carry around the sweet smell of bygone days... Each room has a television set, a telephone and a safe for you to put your valuable items. They also have a bathroom with all the modern comfort that you will need : a shower or a bath, toilets and a washbasin standing on marble slabs that are assorted with the tiled floors. ... more   less
