Bastille / Oberkampf
Bastille and Oberkampf are lively parts of town made for entertainment. During the day rows of unassuming bars welcome customers for a bite or a drink, but it’s at night this area really comes to life. Students and young professionals fill the busy bars around Bastille and Oberkampf. At Place de la Bastille, crowds flock to the Opéra Bastille in the evening and groups wait for coveted tickets during the day. Towards Republique, skateboarders practice their tricks while others chill out at the square. If you’re looking for late-night revelry, this is your neighbourhood.

This is an attractive hotel, not only due to its prime location, just steps away from Place de la Republique, near metro, stores and great cafes and restaurants, but also due to its rooms. The rooms are cozy, clean and very comfortable. I booked the room a day before

I just stayed here and there is good and bad. Beds are comfy but the rooms are small and you do walk thru the bath to the bedroom. Elevator did not work when we were there and there are 6 floors so make sure its working. Also expect road noise so pack earplugs. location is good

It is close to Oberkampf metro (subway) stop which is a 2 minute walk from the hotel. The République stop is a 5 minute walk from the hotel. You can connect to other trains such as the RER from some of the metro, allowing you to go to and from many places such as the airport and historical sights such as Versailles. Download the Metro App onto your phone (Paris Metro). This app will calculate the closest station and all the links to get you to your desired location. You can practice with it at home before you leave. Amazing app. Also, get the five day metro pass if you’re going to be there for a week. The folks at the metro stations are super helpful. Have fun!

Hi, does anyone know if the diamond suite has a balcony? If not, do any of the rooms have balconies?
We are coming there the beginning of october. Is it cold already at that time of year?
Paris has a fairly mild climate; you can have some nice 50/60 days even in November and December. It will probably be quite nice during the day, but a bit chilly at night. A light jacket or sweater will be fine for the evening.

No it has no car park but I think that you can park in the streets around the hotel.
