Room was nothing what was booked (renovated, tv, phone etc.) And I mean absolutely nothing; more like a tiny cleaning store room, no window out (just hatch to an stairway), dirty, no tv, no phone, filthy stained stinking "bed", one carage type shelf. I have never seen anything like that before, not even in 3rd world countries I visited. Hotel... More

If you search for a low priced hotel in Paris with great location to visit all the sights you can stay in this hotel. It is okay when you only use the hotel to sleep at night and spend the whole day to stroll through Paris. You have a lot of bars and restaurants around the hotel as well as... More

I first found this hotel in the late 80s when as a younger man I would whisk various companions across the pond to Paris.. Location is perfect, just of St Germain, surrounded by colourful restaurants and some of the best bars in the city. Almost directly above Chez George's. Opposite is also a small freindly craft brewery. If your a... More

Small, but comfortable. On a small Paris side street. So many things to do within a block. Paris metro 2 minutes away. Everything within a short walk or 7 minute metro ride. Could not have been more pleased. The staff was very helpful to my daily local travels. Extremely nice folks.

This hotel is not great. It is very pokey ; there is an awkward flight of stairs to negotiate through a narrow door just to get to reception. Rooms are very austere, I was staying with colleagues so saw several other rooms as well as my own. My room had a solitary picture hook with a mark on the wall... More

This hotel is in a great location the in Saint Germaine locality, it is vibrant with lots to see and do. restaurants abound as does high end shopping . Plus culture and closeness to the Metro and Notre Dame etc. however, the hotel leaves a lot to be desired. If you are young, a smoker, and don't care about noise... More

A super location and that is all what you need in a city like paris.. bathroom is clean and room in general. There was a strange smell but not that disturbing.. size of room is ok.. v close to metro stations and the street where hotel is located is full of shops and restaurants. Located on a cute, small street with lots of restaurants and close to many sights and metro, the rooms are in need of some updating. We expected small, but the room is just barely bigger than the queen size bed and there is barely space to open a suitcase. The decor may not have been updated in decades, but it... More

Super location and of course we expected small room and street noise as part of Paris life, but shower was scalding, almost unusable, and staff just ignored our polite requests to fix. And yeah, experienced with Euro plumbing! We chose not to leave key fob at front desk as disorganized staff often on phone and inconvenient to wait for them... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
