My friends and I booked this apartment for the weekend for my friends 26th birthday. On the photos on booking.com it looked really nice and retro, as well as being good value for money. We arrived at the apartment on Friday evening and had a 3 room apartment with 3 double beds, which was great as there was 6 of...

After walking up 5 flights of stairs which were grotty, filthy and looked like they had never seen a hoover, we arrived on Friday evening to our top floor 6 person apartment that had one bedroom and 2 mattresses on the floor on a mezzanine area so low you had to crawl around. At first the glance the apartment is...

The place is nice and is a good location as well. However, coordinating with the staff is another thing all together. Our train was delayed so there was no one to assist us when we reached. After carrying heavy bags to the third floor through the narrow winding staircase, the door wouldn't open and we were locked out for 30...

We stayed in the all white apartment for 4 nights and had no problems. On arriving we were shown our room and required to pay upfront. Edward is certainly not welcoming or chatty. After travelling 36 hrs to get there, that was a bit disappointing. The amount we paid is what was quoted. The room was very clean and well appointed...

i tool the room with a mezzanine bed. it is so close to the ceiling that when you lay in your bed you can touch the ceiling with your elbows.. to climb and reach the bed, access is very small, and the sofa in the room was very uncomfortable, too short for me (and i am a women of 1.60...

We stayed at Les Patios du Marais for 4 nights. We were two adults and two children. The room was wonderfully appointed with everything we needed (except a corkscrew, bring one if you enjoy wine!). The location was perfect for us, we were able to walk to the Eiffel Tower, The Louvre and Pere de Lachaise Cemetery, although they were...

If I were any hotel or booking site, I would remove this place as it is horrible. Location is fine but that is all. Management or lack there of were hideous, rude and unhelpful. Demanded upfront payment despite the room not being what was expected. The staff only understood English when money was involved, the remaining time they sniggered at...

We spent three nights here during July 2016. The location was perfect, easy to get to and all of the sights we wished to visit were within walking distance. The amount we were asked to pay, upon immediate arrival, was higher than we had been quoted, and when we queried this, the young man there told us our room was...

Not a very warm welcome when we arrived. Payment was needed directly when we entered the room. Room was nicely decorated and very romantic. Small but clean. Well equiped. Everything you need is there. Beautiful garden patio's. Definitly coming back next time. The neighbourhood is really nice, well located. Beside the lack of hospitality, I would certainly recommend this place...

Staying in Le Marais

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendour. This neighbourhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
