My friend and I (both girls in our early 20's) went to Paris for a long weekend and were looking for a budget friendly hotel that was in a good location and wow did we find it! We went in the winter so we paid around $85 per night and we were shocked at how wonderful it was! From the...

I was very happy to have stayed at the Hotel du College de France this last week. It was really comfortable, very nice room, well heated, comfortable bed, lots of pillows. No problems at all, and very nice and efficient staff who helped with local restaurants, etc. I would certainly come back!

Simply amazing! From the moment you enter the reception till the moment you check out. Smart, renovated hotel with great attention to detail in the best possible area of Paris! 10 min to Notre-Dame and the river, 10 min to Luxembourg gardens, 5 min to cinemas with great restaurants, bars and cafes on the doorstep. Supermarkets, pharmacies, all kinds of...

We stayed 4 nights at this charming little hotel in the Latin Quarter. Room was very small although the bathroom had ample space. The hotel is just charming. Location cannot be beat and 2 - 3 blocks from the metro. Bedding was very plush. Really liked it.

The hotel was very nice and had a very local feeling to it. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted. The room was very clean, overlooked the street but it was small. You can't beat the location and there were many good places to eat close by. We would definitely stay there again.

Good location and large rooms.. Facilities are comparable with a 4 star delux . Very helpful staff. Lift though is small and rooms do not have many windows. But these shortcomings are aptly handled by excellent staff behavior. Reception is very helpful Specially a senior gentleman who was attending me. Airport drop service is also good .Will recommend the hotel....

Note this was actually my second stay two years in a row, and as stated the location and price are excellent. This was my go-to hotel in Paris until my checkout experience this morning. I had booked on their website for 3 nights at 75 euros each. We checked in late afternoon on the first night and were told we...

This hotel is located in the Latin quarter. The Latin quarter has over 400 pubs, cafes and restaurants. It is full of streets and cobble stoned alleyways with people everywhere which makes it a fun and vibrate area to stay. It is located very close to the Cluny Metro station (2 mins walk from hotel). This metro station also goes...

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
