Having been to Paris on six occasions, we have had accommodation that has been memorable and forgettable. We have finally found an hotel that ticks all the boxes - walking distance to every point of interest, spacious rooms, friendly staff, and reasonable cost. Will be recommending Henri iv to say family / friends interested in a memorable stay in Paris

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Henri IV! It's in the middle of the Latin Quarter, just around the corner from Notre Dame and close to all sorts of cafes, bistros, and shops (we had breakfast at Cafe La Bucherie every morning with a front-row view of Notre Dame). The hotel is quiet, and the staff is very friendly. We...

This is the third or forth time for Henri IV. The rooms have been upgraded and the location is perfect for the Latin Quarter and beyond. Our choice for Paris at a competitive price. We fine it well postioned for seeing Paris and a walk to N.D.

I booked a double room in Feb. 4 days before my trip I get an email saying that there is a 'problem' with the room and they have moved me to a single room 'because you are just 1 person'. I suspect they have overbooked since if it's a water pipe issue or any mechanical issue they have 4 full...

Loved this hotel! We stayed in a triple room (3 twin beds in a row) on the 6th floor with a lovely view of a church, you can even see the Eiffel Tower in the distance. The beds were good, bathroom was large - loved the heated towel rack. All the employees were kind and helpful. The location was awesome,...

We loved our stay, room and staff were exceptional given the modest pricing. The best feature was its location. Notre Dame, Metro and Seine River were at its door step making navigating Paris quite easy. Neighborhood restaurants were an added bonus. Yes, the area is overrun with tourist but they all get back on their buses and leave.

Stayed here my first and second visit to Paris - great location, friendly staff. The rooms are very clean, tastefully decorated as only the French can, and they infuse the air in the public areas with this amazing green tea scent that I want to bottle up and take home. Yes, it's a touristy area but if you've never been...

The hotel was very well decorated and maintained. The bed was very comfortable and the...

Location- only tourists in this area with loads of stores selling trinkets and cheap imitations of Eiffel tower etc. Does not give you a local Paris feeling. Some people may prefer this however not advisable if you want a local neighborhood feeling. Much better places to stay in Paris. Locations about 5-10min walk away like St Germain advised. Customer service-...

This is a great place to stay, in the middle of lots of history, great restaurants, and fun places to go. The staff is wonderful, friendly and go out of their way to be helpful. Our room had three beds, so it was roomy and comfortable.

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighbourhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighbourhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
