We chose this hotel for its convenient location, with direct communication by RER trains to the airports and short journey to destinations in the city centre. Also the immediate neighbourhood is attractive with many cafe-bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. The hotel itself is quite modest but offers good service for a reasonable cost. We needed two single rooms...

I would strongly recommend this hotel. The room we were in was big and very comfortable. All services were perfect and hotel staff was so kind and helpful. The position of hotel is perfect, few meters away from metro station with view over Montparnasse and Eiffel Tower. As far as I'm concerned, I have found "my" hotel in Paris.

Stayed here twice - in a triple room with family, and a single room by myself. This hotel is simple, clean and well located. No frills, but if you're looking for somewhere just to lay your head after exploring the city, this will do fine. Well located, right near Denfert Rocherau Metro station. The RER (line B) can take you directly...

I received a nice welcome, although the reception staff were almost always on the phone on what seemed to be personal calls. The room had a good view, the bathroom was reasonably clean and had everything I needed, but I was less confident about the bedspread which had seen better days. The TV remote power button didn't work (or user...

Its a good hotel for a solo female traveller. It covers your basic needs and it's near the train station as well. The receptionists are very friendly and the housekeeping was really nice. They tidied my room everyday. There was also an extra pillow in the room which was good because I hate sleeping with only one pillow. The lift...

The 5/5 rating does not mean five stars - it takes into account the price. My room was the single bed Parisienne and was roughly 70 euros per night. For this price, the hotel was really excellent. The bed was very comfortable (I've paid a lot more for worse beds), despite being a bit short. I'm short too so it...

I choose this hotel due to the easy connection with Charles de Gaule Airport by the RER. It was very convenient and from there we could take the metro the next day and be in Paris Tour Eiffel in less than 30 minutes from the hotel. Very convenient and a point of communication. Good looking from the room with terrace...

Very nice boutique hotel in a great location with the Metro just right outside. A few points: - nice cafes just outside - conveniently located - walking distance to a lot of popular sites - safe neighbourhood - typically small European rooms - not accessible for those with wheelchairs/walkers - breakfast room for 10E - friendly staff

My main reason for staying at this hotel is location. It is not in the absolute center but there are great communication choices right outside. The hotel itself is not for people with bad legs since there is a staircase up to reception. My room, which I shared with a friend, was very small so be good friends or much...

We had a small but nice room in this hotel. The location was perfect for us. We stayed on the 6th floor and the view was really awesome. We could even see the Eifel tower at night from our window! The breakfast was a little bit expensive but you can find "boulangerie" just in front of the hotel with real...

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighbourhood Profile
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the centre of Paris this neighbourhood has something for every hour of the day.
