The location is good because it's really near the underground and it's in the city centre. The hotel is really bad from an aesthetic point of view , anyway it's really cheap so everyone can understand you're not going to sleep in a 5 star hotel. The only real big problem is bed bugs...... No hygienic conditions at all, these...

The hotel is a dive. Our room was a dive. We took the room because we were sick and needed rest, but the bed bugs were out in force. We got bit all night long. The room smelled horribly of smoke. The walls were dirty, bedding old. The shared toilet in the hall had broken parts. The price seemed cheap,...

The hotel is located in a great area, which is handy to get around and 5min walk from Gare du Nord. We walked to the Seine river in about 20min, meandering through the lovely streets of Paris. The hotel itself is nice enough, and the staff were helpful and responsive. The room we had though was smelly and damp, with...

Hotel Marclau is brilliant for what it is, a basic budget hotel. I stayed here for a three nights with my fiancee and we had a wonderful time. The hotel for what it is is very good as I said and the location is fantastic. We would definitely go back there.

It is an old hotel in whatever in there but the surround area is nice. Near grocery store, restaurant, kebab, cafe and train station. Yes the room is small, no elevator, no aircon and old but I guess this is Europe for budget.

All i can say is. Never book budget in Paris. We would have changed hotels if we could have but we had a child with us and it was late at night. This hotel is one worst hotel i have ever stayed in ,very dirty. Also a nightmare if you have suitcases as you will have to carry them up...

Although the hotel Marcleau is in a good location (close to Gare Nord and seemed safe) and very cheap I wouldn't recommend it. I have stayed in many cheap hotels/ hostels before and am happy with a basic room but I was booked in here this evening and didn't even stay the night. The man on reception spoke some English...

There is no elevator! Only one stairway to hell! If there would be a fire... there's no way out! The staff was friendly... But I was really dissapointed with the room...The room was filthy although we had clean sheets & towels! Also you have to climb 5 floors to reach this dump! And go 3 floors down to take a...

Hotel Marclau is charming. At 75 euros a night, it's cheap for Paris, and you get a welcome reception, good night's rest, and delicious breakfast. It's great value. The room's are small and decor lacking, but it's clean. Free Wi-Fi is available in the rooms (ask front desk for Network Security Key). Located close to the Metro Station and the...

Overall it was an okay experience. Here are some facts: 1) They do NOT speak english AT ALL. So if you have a sort of complicated question you'd better find a translator. 2) The place is OLD with whatever comes with old! 3)** If you have big luggage, you are in trouble. The rooms are located upstairs and the stairs...
