This rickety hotel located on a side street full of strip joints is not a good choice unless you are in Paris to party. The stairs are wobbly, the rooms smell and there's a general air of decay. Drunks were making merry outside until all hours of the morning. In fact, there was a passed out "guest" in the stair...

This hotel is terrible. We have used many budget accommodations in our travels around the world but we had to leave after the first night. The hotel is centrally located but so is The Best Western for a few dollars more.

Stayed in this hotel for three nights for the French Open tennis. Ok hotel. Basic. It was only €135 for three nights. Staff are very friendly with giving guests directions. They dont service your room until you stay a second night. Sockets were coming off the walls too. Staff very friendly offering me adaptors and umbrellas. Also a fridge in...

Four of us have just stayed at this small hotel in central Paris. We just wanted somewhere within walking distance of the main attractions, cheap, clean and friendly and we found it. Yes it is in the red light district however this didn't detract in any way as the eating places around we excellent especially the wonderful bakery opposite which...

Smallish hotel , but more of a hostel than a hotel , there is a shared toilet and shower , but there are rooms with shower and toilet , I'd say I got a good price for Paris but don't expect 5 * when it's like a hostel , rooms are adequate size but bathroom was small , nice French...

I stayed at the twin room with shower. The room size is okay. But the WC is suuuuuper small. There are only stairs, so it's a bit difficult to carry your suitcase if you stay in the higher floors. The room wasn't very comfortable, but it was good enough. If you are just looking for a place to stay for...

Awesome Location was so easy to get around Paris, the metro was on the corner of the street the Lourve was a 15min walk away. Plently of food and shops near by. The hotel was clean, tidy and the staff were very friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

I am surprised with the reviews of people who want cheap accommodation in the great location and write after that how they were shocked with old ladder with ugly carpet and lack of comfort on the room. For its price the hotel is ok. Especially for those who has no plans of sitting in room. The staff is helpful and...

Great lil hotel in the heart of china town. Fantastic restaurants and bars near by (wine bars, cocktail bars and pubs). centrally located and easy to get to. Room was basic but clean and staff were efficient and friendly. Shared bathroom with most rooms but we had our own lil bathroom. Very cheap for Paris!!!

It was a basic room at a great location with a cheap price. Rooms overlook the lobby, so no great view, but I liked the security system and how easy it was to get where I wanted to go. I would recommend if you are a budget traveller.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
