I reserved a room here because the hotel is fairly close to the railroad station and allowed us to walk there in a few minutes. This was the only good thing about this hotel, unfortunately. The elevator to our rooms, which it was suggested that we use, barely had room for two people, but we can handle that. When I tried to call it back up later, though, the call button didn't seem to work, so we ended up using it only to go up and not down. Walking down the stairs we were treated to some unfinished plaster and paint work at a couple of spots along with signs saying that we should use the elevator only, though when I asked about this at the front desk they said it didn't matter. When we got to our room, we realized it was pretty dark: the overhead light only had one dim bulb working. There were three lights on the wall above the beds, which might have helped, but none of them worked - and when I looked closely, one had only a bare socket, not even a dead bulb. We also had been given only two towels for four people. When I went down and asked about getting the lights fixed I was told that someone would be there at 3:00 p.m. (I was given more towels, at least.) I went back to the room and waited; 3 p.m. came and went with no hint of a repair. A while later I went back down and asked and was told that no one could come until the next day. We're only talking about replacing light bulbs here, but it never happened. If that wasn't enough, the room had water stains and peeling paint on the walls and ceiling, exposed pipes and a dangerously slick floor in the bathroom (one of my group slipped and brused her shin), and a cup of old cigarette butts had been left sitting on the window sill. I asked about getting some ice and was told "there is no ice." And, the toilet seat cover was broken and loose.…
The hotel is located near the metro station and few steps away from the market place. It is also surrounded by restaurants and bakeshops, so it is very convenient for guests to stay. The price is also reasonable especially when you are on a budget trip. It's an old building, a very "typical Paris" but it feels homely. The staff are also very friendly and accommodating specially the receptionist named FABIO. He's very polite and helpful giving you good tips on places to see and experience to make your trip meaningful. The only thing that is not pleasing for me is that, it took sometime to replenish the toilet papers which it always ran out in our room, considering that we are four women staying in a room. I have to follow-up several times and go down to the reception to get it. In addition, the bath towels are also not available when we arrived at the room, we waited for three hours before we can have it. Nevertheless, it's minimal and we had a wonderful stay and we truly enjoy Paris. As the saying goes, I left my heart in Paris and definitely it's not the last! I will still consider checking in again in Hotel Du Brabant especially if they will offer a promo rate.…
I received bed bugs from this hotel. I’d advise you to check the bed and mattress very carefully. Apart from this, you get what you pay for. Unfortunately I had a good look at the mattresses too late.
We booked for 1 night to see as much of Paris and Versailles as possible . The location for this hotel is great for all trains . The staff were friendly and allowed us to check in at 11am . Yes it is basic but for 1 night sleepover you get what you pay for . Bed was comfy . Lovely towels and all very clean . A painting and some tidying up of fixtures and fittings would improve the whole place but it was ok for 1 night . The hotel is surrounded by great places to eat and a lively french atmosphere .…
We went to this hotel for a week. First we had a small problem because our room no was ready, the bathroom was broken, but the receptionist Mina changed us to a better room. The place of this hotel is really good, near of gare du nord nd gare the lest, and maybe 10 minutes by metro to the main places of tourism. The breakfast its fine... 5.50€ but is only made with coffee, pastries and orange juice (we re from Valencia so...). One amaizing discover was Picard, u can take a menu for 5€. In cunclusion, if u get a good price on this hotel, Ist ok, finally we only stayed there for sleep and shower.…
