Great hotel in a fantastic location for walking, and subway connections. Very clean rooms, a bit of noise will seep in from the apartments beside them and the street, but ear plugs should handle the bulk of it. Really great property.

The building's architecture and aesthetics pleased the eyes. Romantic, quaint, friendly hotel and service was accommodating. The size of the bedroom was reasonable for a hotel in Paris, also beats its competitor located right next door. The bedroom was well decorated, shower room featured body jets and toilet was separated from shower. For a reasonable cost this hotel is well...

Disclosure: I live this place and therefore return every time I leave London for Paris. Charming boutique hotel, well situated and most importantly the service standards are exceptional. Yes you read that properly. It is possible to have a good customer service experience in Paris. Rare, but possible. And to make sure of it, I stay here. Latest example, I...

Just loved this romantic and boutique hotel and my room was also superb (room 21) just arrived back and already thinking about the next trip but next time with my wife. The staff can't do enough for you and Denis on reception has a great knowledge of the area. So many great bars and restaurants all within a short walk...

The Hotel des Academies et des Arts is a confortable, chic and affordable hotel in Paris. Four blocks from Jardin de Luxemburgo, near from Montparnasse and in front of the Dome (a traditional restaurant of sea fruits in Paris), the hotel is a tine jewel in rive gauche side.

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.

“We upgraded to one of the deluxe rooms, which I recommend if you're looking for a little more room or have a lot of luggage. It was very comfortable for our three large bags and two people, but the room sizes generally are definitely smaller than you'll see in the states! I think the small rooms would have been too small for us.”
