The whole place had a cheap and dirty feel to it. Just a few days previously I stayed in another 2 star hotel in Paris, which was only a little pricier, but far cleaner, much better located, and had a quaint charm which the Adriatic...More

I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Adriatic. Staff were friendly, helpful and the hotel was close to the main attractions in the city. Metro station was within close walking distance. Small rooms, which are the norm in Paris, but clean, new, comfortable and warm. I...More
Easy check-in -like most small Paris hotels has steep stairs (with lift) and smallish rooms. V convenient for Gare de Lyon and numerous eateries nearby. Short walk to the Bastille area with bars, theatres etc.
We were staying here a couple of nights before shooting off to London. The rooms are good considering how much you're paying. Nothing spectacular and the rooms are small, but it's in a good location (and at the end of the day how much time...More

Yes, me and my husband consider that it's safe to walk on Rue de Lyon and around Gare de Lyon, we actually done it at midnight and there were enough decent people at the restaurant, on October 2014, the same thing for walking thru Place de Bastille. Instead, going to Bercy (the opposite direction for Bastille), there is a less lightened passage/road, smelling of urine, on which I'll be suspicious to go late at night ... Over all, I would not worry enjoying late night travelling solo, we've done it for 5 different visits and had no problems :)
