My husband and I loved this little hotel! The exterior, lobby, and especially spiral staircase all lend themselves to old world charm. However the room we stayed in was updated and very modern. The bathroom was especially classy for the inexpensive price we paid for this place. We stayed on the 3rd floor with a balcony overlooking the street. Loved...

I had a very good stay. The hosts were welcoming, the room clean, comfortable and quiet. ( I recommend a room overlooking the courtyard rather than the street if quietness matters to you.) I have no hesitation in recommending and will stay again if in Paris.

This is my favourite hotel in Paris. I normally stay there when I come to Paris. If you are looking for a modern or fancy hotel, with a restaurant and 24 hour reception, this is not the place for you. It is a 2 star pension full of character. It is located in a small quiet alleyway 2 minute walk...

Our family of 4 just spent a wonderful 2 nights in this hotel. They have a wonderful renovated suite on the top floor. Clean, great decor, & roomy (for Europe). It sounds like not all of the rooms have been renovated but we were very happy with ours. Great Wifi & usb chargers by the main bed. The room was...

This hotel has the smallest elevator I have ever seen. Staff is friendly but the interiors on the top floor are past expiration date. The beds are ok. No wifi in rooms, only lobby- a handwritten statement in French written on the elevator. No AC but a small fan in the room probably saved my life when there was blistering...

Hello, Thank you for your comments on your last stay with us. Unfortunately our WI-FI hotspot network broke down during your stay and we apologize for it. Our elevator is in the French standards, smaller elevators exist in Paris. It's sad you prefer the standardization of hotel chain in the discovery of the Parisian family charm hotel. Best regards, Mme...

This is a budget hotel in a great location near Luxembourg Gardens in Paris. You can't beat the the value considering the great location. The rooms are simple but clean and comfortable. The hotel includes a free breakfast and free wifi. One note is that the hotel is not air conditioned. The weather this June was very cool so that...

This is a no frills hotel. Great if all you want is a clean place to spend the night. We were there for 2 nights as a couple and we were quite satisfied. The queen-sized bed in our small room probably took 70% of the floor space in our room and was very comfortable. Bathroom was modern, brightly lit, and...

This hotel was a lovely base for our week in Paris. The rooms are old fashioned but large (for Paris) and very clean. The staff were exceedingly kind and welcoming, and the hotel was quiet at night. It's a great location - just a couple minutes to Jardins de Luxembourg, 10-15 minutes to lots of high end shopping/restaurants, and a...

Located a short walk from the Luxembourg Gardens and St. Germain des Pres, this small hotel is a family run establishment offers quaintly furnished rooms which are very clean and well kept and provides an excellent service. The beds were very comfortable, firm and supportive providing good quality linens. The hotel rooms are modestly priced and represent exceptional value. The...

My daughter and I stayed here on a Saturday night in April. She had stayed here before. Will happily stay here again. The hotel is located on a quiet street on the other side of Luxembourg Gardens from the Luxembourg RER stop (a moderate, but easily manageable walk w/ wheeled luggage...). Basic, but very comfortable & clean room. Very friendly...

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
