...... they need to check how they advertise their rooms. They advertise that all of their rooms have shower but the toilet is outside on the landing. This I found to be untrue. I booked a solo room with shower, when I arrived and paid my money, I got to Room 25 to find no shower. A member of staff...

We loved the location. It is near many of the main Paris attractions and we walked to most of them. Bus 82 goes to the Effel tower and is right outside the door. We got the room on the 6th floor and loved it. I don't know how the main rooms were, so I can't review them. But our room...

This is a good place for self sufficient travelers who are in Paris to see Paris and not lounge in their room. However, the room was just fine, very basic, spartan actually, and quiet with an old building vibe. There is an elevator for about 4 levels and then it's up the beautiful old elliptical stair. Our room was on...

Résidence Du Palais make it clear that this is a residence and not an hotel. The rooms are basic and like us you might find yourself doing minor repairs with duck tape. The place needs lots of maintenance. The management don’t seem to care about the state of the place. The breakfast is basic too. Just bread and jam to...

The pension is in front of the Luxembourg gardens, close to the RER-B (Charles de Gaulle airport line) station. The toillet isn't in suite, but there is a bath inside the room. The breakfast is just fair.

First time in France with rudimentary French speaking skills. Reception lady was welcoming and inviting despite the language barrier. Bed did have one hair on the pillow. Cost was great value since the location was centrally located to all the great sights.

Awesome value for money! Easy to find, great location and comfortable beds. We had sink and shower in the room. The toilets were shared but clean. Mismatched furniture did not bothered us whatsoever, as this is a great price for Paris. Would recommend for those who spend their time explorin Paris rather thank resting in the room ;)

Located at the corner of the Rue d’Assas and Rue Vavin, it will be difficult to find a more strategic starting point for promenades into the Parc Luxembourg and visits to other highlights of the Vth and VIth arrondissements of Paris. Both the lively Rue Vavin, named after the 19th-century statesman Aléxis Vavin, and the Rue d’Assas, with its famous...

This is a very basic hotel with shared toilets (I believe there were three toilets per floor), mismatched furniture that seem to come from someone's trash. Granted someone's trash is another persons' treasure but I doubt this applies to the hotel. I would not say the hotel was dirty but the worm out furniture does give one such impression. A...

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
