My friend and I stayed at the hotel for 5 nights in November 2016. The hotel is on a great, quiet little street and you absolutely could not have asked for a better location for getting around. The neighbourhood it's in isn't very touristy but you have easy access via the metro to almost any site you'd hope to go... More

Two nights, solo, loved it, would definitely return. Charming old building, friendly staff, excellent continental breakfast, well-appointed room that was very clean, with a book shelf of books and interesting art on walls giving it a back home feel. Excellent value. They offer free use of some bicycles although I didn't take advantage of that. I did take advantage of... More

This will probably be the go-to hotel for my next stays in Paris. Very close to many places you want to visit, very quite, big comfy beds and nice vibe. Even bicycles would have been available to us...

Recently stayed October 2016 with my mom who chose this location based off the the charming photos and did not disappoint. There was plenty of space, rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly. Breakfast is offered in the basement for 8 euros and is simple but filling. There are two metro stops nearby, Jacques Bonsergent and Republique (which you... More

Le Pari Velo turned out to be in a very convenient location, close to the Place de la Republique Metro station and quite easy to find. The building, street, and general area have a unique character. The room was immaculate, quiet, and comfortable. Staff were very kind, helpful, and let me make a reservation without a credit card. Breakfast was... More

Most importantly, it was clean, bug-free. If you want to chill in your room this is not the place because the rooms are tiny. If you want to see Paris and have a clean bed and a shower waiting, you'll love it. The area was quite safe when we were there, don't know if that has changed.....and it DOES matter... More

This was my fourth stay at hotel du nord, which speaks for itself. A quaint pensioner in the heart of the cool Paris. If you want to experience the best of the old and the new stay here! Simple, warm and comfy rooms on a quiet, charming street with church bells. Breakfast isn't fancy but it is a lovely start... More

We booked this hotel online from home before traveling to Paris. Since we wanted to explore other options for lodging when we got there, we only booked one night. After stopping by in person to a few other hotels, we were won over that we had already found the best in value, comfort and atmosphere to our taste. There are... More

We have spent here the 2015-16 new year's eve period and we enjoyed it very much. The hotel is in a nice and comfortable area very close to Place de la Republique and to Gare de l'Est railway station. The room is quite small but it is for sure good enough for few days, during nighttime it was very quite... More

A great small hotel with reasonable prices. We stayed there because we were near family who live nearby but the staff and owner are very nice and helpful. They have two very friendly dogs that welcome you on arrival. Well situated near metro, restaurants and bars but on a quiet street. The rooms are a bit basic but clean and... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Our hotel is a small one with 23 rooms that are warm, cozy and attractively decorated. When our guests arrive, we give them a key to the entrance door to the hotel as well as a room key. Right away everyone feels at home or rather, in a guesthouse. Our rooms are all different, each one has its own style: Oriental, pop, empire, Pompei, and so on.... We take particular care with the breakfast, served in the basement with its old-fashioned stone ceiling. Our breakfast consists in croissants, the traditional baguette and whole-grain bread, made not by an industrial bakery but by our local baker. The jams are homemade, prepared by us using quality fruits. All the products we use are chosen and furnished by local shops. Our guesthouse is located in a central district animated by its residents. It is a popular district for Parisians that is famous for its picnics along the Canal Saint-Martin, its bars, its restaurants and small local shops. All around you will find many Parisian brands, boutiques, bookstores, and food stores. We have selected them and tested them before recommending them. For getting around in Paris we have bicycles that are freely available during your stay. This is also part of our approach. Whatever the reason for your visit to Paris, we hope you will appreciate the atmosphere of our guesthouse. ... more   less
