Holiday Inn hospitality is always remarkable. First thing I have to mention is the room is by far larger than comparable hotels in same price category. Breakfast is included and sufficient. Environment is nice and safe.

This futuristic landscape has come to define the northeast of Paris. The Saint-Denis canal is framed with luscious lawns and metallic buildings over a wide-open space. Home to Europe's largest science museum, this area rewards daytime and nighttime explorations; there are three concert spaces, plus cinemas and bars, and even open-air cinema in the summer. The surrounding homes are a sharp contrast to
the futuristic space. Though on the outskirts of Paris, La Villette is worth the short Metro ride from the centre.

I would call the hotel and ask. If they do not provide this service, it is a short distance from Gare du Nord to the hotel, so it should not be expensive. Instead of walking out the front of the Gare, looking for a taxi, follow the signs inside to the taxi stand, which is on the side. This is where they line up to receive travelers and there is someone employed for the purpose to direct you to the next cab. This may not be a guarantee of protection from overcharging, but the valet on duty should be a caution to those who queue up to get riders. I have gotten taxis here and never felt overcharged or that anyone tried to take advantage of me. I have noticed in the last 2 years that cabs now usually have some kind of GPS on the dashboard that has a map telling the driver where to go and how to get there, so that may allay fears. Also, remember that what might seem to be an easy trip as the crow flies may take longer because of one-way streets.

This hotel has no shuttle. Very few of them offer this kind of service. We have stayed there twice. all four trips from/to airport and even train station are by uber. it is about 45 euro. otherwise, you would have to carry luggage up and down. It is not the most popular area, but it offers free breakfast. bakeries nearby are very good and prices are great. at least two large supermarkets nearby not to mention the small groceries.
