L'Orangeraie is as deliciously simple as the palace is spectacular. There is nothing remotely pretentious about this hidden-away gem which is only a few yards from the hub of the city. There are excellent restaurants and shops all around, while the establishment itself provides a very acceptable breakfast, complete with fresh fruit.
There are no luxuries and not all the rooms have Wi-Fi and a TV. Also, the towels could be a bit bigger and better. None of that, though, adds up to a complaint. As a pleasant and convenient place to stay, l'Orangeraie, with its friendly owners, fits the bill as well as many a more sophisticated hostelry.

Perfect place for a relaxing stay. Room was comfortable and within walking distance of everything in Versailles. The 2 rooms are an old cottage that's been remodeled and is set on a private garden.

Patricia and her family were wonderful, incredibly friendly, warm and helpful. I would suggest staying here for anyone visiting the city.

Our host Inès was absolutely perfect, from start to finish, beautiful stay with our five kids, happy to play in the garden. We loved our breakfasts, Ines went out of her way to provide us with goods that would suit us. Beds are confortable, room was warm ( we were in Versailles during a chilly week). 4 minutes walk from the palace. Close to buses, train station, perfect location for our holidays in Versailles and Paris.

Just blocks from the Chateau, dining options and lovely glimpse into a quieter French holiday. Ines was so gracious in helping orient ourselves and ensuring we had a comfortable stay. Her recommendations for dining were spot on. When we were concerned about how to navigate transportation connections back to London, she was able to give us great instruction. Our room was comfortable and a quiet.

Ines is a good host. She will give you all the hints to make your stay a nice one.
The rooms are simple and a bit outdated, but anyhow you will not be in them for a long time.
Breakfast is typical french, a croissant, a baguette some jam and a piece of fruit.

The location of this charming bungalow is perfect. However, the nicest thing about it is the lovely family that hosts it. I was traveling with my daughter and they made us feel so very welcome. The small cozy atmosphere is ideal for travelers who want to interact with French people and still have plenty of privacy. We especially want to thank Ines for all of our lovely conversations. Ines speaks excellent English but she's also happy to speak with you in French if you want to practice your French.

Orangerie is a lovely cottage. Dominique is a charming renter and we had interesting conversations with him! It's near the tourist attractions in Versailles. You can find some good restaurants to walk. We love it!

The L'Orangeraie is located just blocks from the Chateau & on the same block as the Potager Du Roi (a can't miss for gardeners). Ines and Dominique were perfect hosts, breakfast was wonderful and the rooms were comfortable and clean. I recommend highly.

L'Orangeraie was a perfect location for exploring Versailles. Ines and Dominique were very kind and welcoming hosts. The place was very clean, quiet, spacious enough for 3 adults and the location is great for the palace and the town. Breakfast was lovely too. Thank you!
