Lovely boutique hotel in a great location to the palace of Versailles.
10 minute walk .
The hotel is in a quieter location which is nice! Cafes and bars everywhere! In 4 days we have walked the whole of Versailles.
City is quiet not much open on Mondays!
Hotel would be nice to have more of a cooked breakfast option as it’s expensive for just a continental 16€ breakfast! The reception staff are very helpful and friendly!
We took a taxi for 80€ from Charles du Gaul airport to Versailles.
Rooms are basic but clean 👌🏻

The French are terrible at signage in the palace and grounds so allow extra time! Take a ruck sack and snacks on the tour and defiantly go on the earliest entry into the palace!

Overall hotel du berry was great 👍

We spent one night here and wished we'd booked for more. It was my elderly mother's first visit to Europe and she was treated with such kindness and respect. Our triple room was bright and comfortable, the bathroom modern and clean, our beds very comfortable. We enjoyed champagne and chocolates on arrival looking out at the (fairly quiet!) street below. We all managed to walk to the chateau easily in the morning after a good breakfast in the cheerful dining area. Nearby are many cafes, restaurants, chocolatiers (yippee) and of course the beautiful cathedral. So much better than a rushed day trip from Paris. We definitely recommend.

This is a relatively small and relatively inexpensive hotel within walking distance of the Chateau. Although it is a bit long in the tooth the friendly staff make up for it. Good breakfast. We were greeted with a split of champagne and sack of chocolates. Plus tickets to the Chateau for two days for each of us.

Upon arrival at this hotel , the reception informed me that my booking was for the following day and they were fully booked for that day.
I realized my mistake and the proprietor advised me to cancel my booking immediately and he would authorize the refund .
I duly canceled in front of him.
On arrival back home i was advised that the hotel refused my refund.
I'm absolutely shoked

Good hotel in a good location. Close to restaurants and the palace. Staff was delightful. The elevator was tiny. But we made it work. The room was small albeit comfortable. The carpet was a bit tired.
Nice patio for our after dinner wine.

WE WERE ROBBED AT THIS HOTEL - I have waited 3 weeks to write this review foolishly hoping for some good news that never materialized. On Saturday June 16th 2012, we, along with another couple on the same floor, got robbed at Le Residence Du Berry Hotel, 14 Rue D Anjou, Versailles. My party lost two work laptops, two iPads, 1 blackberry and $ 500.00 in cash. In both cases, someone came into locked rooms and broke into locked bags. Also in both cases, the burglar(s) took the time to leave the rooms like nothing had happened. Common sense tells me that if this had been someone walking in from the street, needing to get in and out as fast as possible, they would not have wasted any time, after spending enough of it going through everything, trying to leave the rooms in order, but you can draw your own conclusion. The most disappointing thing about the hotel actually happened next. Even after learning that we were the second victims, the person on duty had not thought about calling the manager until I asked. I spoke with him and told him that he needed to come in. He said he could not do it that evening, that he wasn’t in Versailles, but he led me to believe that he would be there the next morning. When he didn’t show up, I got the front desk to call him again. Reluctantly, he got on the phone with me and finally admitted that he wasn’t coming in until Monday. Now, if people can start a trip from Florida on a Saturday evening and arrive in Versailles by Sunday morning, I’m pretty sure that he could have gotten from wherever he was, to the hotel on Sunday if he really wanted. We were told by the police that he was the only one who had access to the security camera tapes. Given that fact, even if it was slim, the best chance we had to recover the items, including the work laptops, was lost by his refusal to come in promptly. I was in Versailles on a work assignment for two weeks and this happened the weekend in between. I explained all of the above to the hotel manager both times we spoke, along with the fact that the company I work for was spending a lot of money on the trip. That we were occupying 3 rooms in the hotel for two weeks and that if he did not come in on Sunday, we were all going to leave and would never use or recommend his hotel again and he still refused to come in. Fine, I get it, the guy did not care about my company or my problem but he obviously does not care much about his hotel either. Here is some additional information if you need context: There were cameras in the lobby which is the only entrance/exit point to the hotel as the building is surrounded on both sides and back by other buildings. There were no cameras in the hallways. We took our room key with us when we went out. Even if you think that the chance of this happening again, to you, may be small and worth taking, please note that you will probably lose in a different way. Chances are the room that you end up with is nothing like (in appearance and size) any of the pictures they use to advertise, which makes what they charge for the rooms not worth it. I can appreciate small boutique hotels that are good and safe. This one is neither.

Nice hotel, good location. Only a few minutes walk to the palace and old section of the city. Staff was courteous and the breakfast buffet a nice mix of cereals, dried fruit, yogurt, bread, coffee etc. Room was a bit small, but then, it was fine by European standards and comfortable enough.

This hotel is well situated in Versailles. It is a walkable (with bags) distance from the station and an easy walk to the chateau. Easy to locate there is a street of restaurants nearby (rue Satori). The Reception staff spoke English. The bar, billiards room and breakfast areas were attractive. The hotel stored our luggage in a secure room for us on the following morning while we toured the chateau.

We were rather disappointed that our room bore little resemblance to the rooms featured on the web site and described as 'noble, sophisticated and personalised'. Our ‘Classic Double Room’ – 125e) was in a very quiet location with the window overlooked the patio roof of the inner courtyard. There was no air conditioning but we felt quite secure leaving our window open all night. The room was small, clean and functional. The bathroom was very small (one person only). The hotel served it purpose of locating us very close to the chateau so we could be 'first off the block' the next morning - great too, we had the Hall of Mirrors to ourselves (albeit briefly)!

The local tourist office in Versailles was excellent. We were given excellent advice on the chateau (times open, what not to miss, map of grounds, hours the fountains were playing, etc) and we purchased our entrance and audio guide tickets from them thus avoiding queuing.

extremely small rooms, out dated, dusty, bad smell.misleading pictures on web site.
we checked-in saw the room came immediately down to reception complained (there was no room to walk nor room to park the luggage) we were showed other rooms. all rooms were dusty and had unpleasant smell.
to make a long story short we left the hotel we wanted our money back but they said we should contact booking.com (we made reservation through them) we checked into the Hilton in Versaillles which was fantastic experience.
when we returned home we contacted booking.com but unfortunately they could not help us because the hotel was dishonest and said we did stay over night. we have a proof from the Hilton we stayed there so the claim of the hotel that we stayed there is not credible, I guess we lost the $120.00 but taught us a lesson the check hotels with more care even if it is for one night.

We booked a night at this hotel @ 100 euro through Expedia. When we arrived at the hotel we were informed that there was no booking but a room was available at 150 euro. We were not happy to take this room and made alternative arrangements for our stay in Versailles. We were surprised to find our card charged for 100 euro. Expedia informed us that we had been charged as a no-show. We are currently seeking to have this money returned to us.

It wasn’t a big room, but it was a perfectly acceptable size for us as we barely spent any time in it. There was enough furniture to put luggage well out of the way so you weren’t tripping up over it.

Not that I saw, there was a couple with a queen and a single. Only a few have an actual bathtub, most are a tiny shower. Room 100 is large with a large bathroom with a tub, but it faces the street.
