Hard to decide where to begin. We've traveled all over and stayed in some very luxurious hotels but nothing compares to the overall experience of Hotel de la Cite. Upon arrival we were escorted through the gates and up to the hotel from the parking lot. The staff was very friendly and professional. They speak perfect English, but played along...

We stayed for 3 nights in October. Absolutely fabulous Hotel and a great location within the city walls. The breakfast was sumptuous and plentiful. The staff were excellent. Our room was beautiful with a fabulous full size bathtub. Well worth booking the Sunday lunch in the hotel restaurant.

Lovely hotel within city walls staff very friendly can't do enough for you.special mention to max and Natalie. We stayed in room 214 lovely balcony and view of ramparts and gardens. Breakfast amazing nothing to much trouble staff very helpful. Only negative comment is that hotel expensive for food but plenty of choice just outside the hotel.

Without a doubt, this is one of the nicest places we have stayed and is the best in Carcassonne. We had happened to stay in two different suites and both were so nice that we could have just lived there. My advice is, if you could justify it, get a suite that has a large balcony. The views are priceless!

This hotel is within the City Walls and ideally placed for exploring the castle and ramparts. The hotel is good quality but looks a bit tired in places. The restaurant is michelin starred and therefore the food is a good quality but is not exceptional. The breakfast is a buffet and again good but not exceptional. At breakfast the staff...

This hotel is situated within the city walls, which is an amazing location. The shuttle service from car parking into the city was extremely helpful. We had a double room at the back of the hotel so did not experience any noise issues at all. We ate at the connected restaurant just across the road in the town, which was...

Limped in the historic town with a car requiring attention and in consequence a need to find a flight out two days later. We were amazed how good the Ryan Air service proved from Carcassonne Airport to Birmingham. We stayed in La Cite hotel which was out standing in all respects. The combination of Carcassonne, La Cite Hotel and Ryan...

I had booked to stay in this hotel primarily because of its location which is fabulous.Right in the middle of the cobbled streets and next to the cathedral. The transfer by bus from the airport was very easy and after being dropped at the stop for the old city we just walked up rather than wait for transportation. We had a triple...

This was by far the nicest hotel we have ever stayed in. The room was wonderful and the service was great. The attention to detail by the staff truly made this a memorable stay in a very charming medieval town.

This is a good hotel with nice rooms, generally good service and an amazing view of the towers and citadel of Carcassonne from within the old City walls. Parking is, perforce, outside the City but is well managed. Make sure you understand how this works before arriving in Carcassonne. We had dinner in the hotel on one night. It was...
