If you're looking for the best hotel to visit the medieval city of Carcassonne from then this is it. Situated right beside the main entrance to "la cite", it's an easy walk in. Nice, clean and tidy rooms with all the modern comforts you'd expect. Another big bonus we found was the ample secure parking at the hotel. (And this...

We stayed for one night as part of a group coach tour. We wished that we could have stayed longer - this hotel's character, architecture and surroundings were a welcome change from the usual budget hotels that our group stayed in prior to arriving in Carcassonne. To our disappointment, we weren't there long enough to try out the pool. The...

Typical small French rooms but quite adequate and a good bathroom with shower and bath and reasonable hanging room but clothes. Breakfast was very good with a good choice of food and fresh orange juice. We didn't eat in the restaurant but fellow travellers reported the food as good even if the service when busy was slow.

The location is not easy to find without GPS but on there we appreciated the location near the old city of Carcassonne near by. The only probleme is to carry your luggage to the room. The parking is very handy.

This is our second stop, biking from Toulouse. Just in front of the city fortifications, it was few minutes walking from the old city. So, the location is perfect, The welcome is good, they will give you a spot for your bikes( unfortunately not locked). The rooms are very confortables. They have good resto and nice terrace outside when sun...

We didn't stay at the hotel, but went there for a meal, organised by our Newmarket tour rep. (Could he be 'rewarded' for bringing 20+ unsuspecting customers? Surely not??) Service was slow even at 10 p,m. on a Sunday. A set 3 course meal for E22 sounded OK. But my steak was tough and chewy, and soooooooo rare a good...

Hotel is within walking distance to the gate of Carcassonne fortress. We loved our room overlooking the pool and courtyard. The doors opened up to a nice balcony. we had a wonderful dinner in the dining room of local Cassoulet. The fortress is so picturesque and nice to walk around in the evening and early morning before the crowds arrive.
