A friend who lives near this hotel booked us into this hotel as it was the closest to her home. The property is very tired, and is situated in a rather boring part of Montpellier. The price that we paid - 120 euros/night - seemed high. We noted that the hotel is seeking planning consent to redevelop the property, so... More

Dated and charming would have been nice. Carpets in the hall however were dirty, the bathroom needed to be replaced years ago. No shower curtains or anything on the bathtub, so either you take a bath, you shower while sitting or you flood the bathroom. Beds however were clean and the wifi worked and parking is free. Check-in was friendly.... More

We stayed at La Maison Blanche for two nights in May 2016 - my husband was traveling for business, and I tagged along to see the sites. We found this hotel after a reservation at another hotel did not work out, so we were not sure what to expect not having researched it. We stayed in a spacious room with... More

Booked for 1 night and stayed 9. This is not a modern formulaic hotel-if that is a preference it is not for you. What this hotel has is character and charm from a bygone time. 10 minutes by car from Montpellier centre it is a peaceful haven. Montpellier centre is a nightmare for finding your way around by car and... More

Probably the title says it all. There are comments about dated and things like that - whilst this is true - I think it sort of detracts from the fun of the place. This is not your average corporate business type hotel. This is somewhere to go and enjoy. It's relaxed and clean. The service is friendly. The interior is,... More

After driving across from Nice we pulled into Hotel La Maison Blanche for an overnight stop. The only two rooms available was a twin room for €107 or a suite for €150, we chose the suite. The suite was large but looked like something out of the 70's, timber panelling, Perspex ceiling, dark furniture and cherry red furnishings, all a... More

Nice wood construction nested in a lovely southern garden, however the inside is not as good with worn out rooms, bathrooms, etc. Breakfast is quite minimalist and served in an uninviting room. The adjacent restaurant serves decent local cuisine The staff is helpful tough

On arrival on the Wednesday we were told that we had only a booking from Friday. Luckily we had a copy of the confirmation email from the hotel so that was quickly resolved! From the photographs on the web site we expected rather more than is actually on offer. The room, whilst generally clean, was tired and in need of... More

We needed a night stop between Spain and Nice so did not have high expectations but if you can ignore the fact that the hotel needs a facelift, then it is quaint with a stunning building set in pretty grounds. The receptionist very helpful and drinks served quickly on the Verandah and breakfast was s unfit ident but should have... More

This hotel was just wonderful. The gardens, rooms, restaurant fantastic. Wonderful staff, very helpful, food was to die for, and nothing was too much trouble. Would return in an instance. Loved it.
