Good bathing facilities. Room rather small. Bit of noise from other rooms. Meager breakfast for the price you pay. Rather far from city center, but streetcar stop very near hotel. All in acceptable, but not very good. These are all the characters I am prepared to submit. If you feel that there are too few, please appreciate that conciseness is... More

We had a great experience in the hotel. We had a family room with a double and two singles and it was perfect. The reception staff was polite and friendly. The location was better than what we thought from the map, walking distance to the Place Stanislas and also to the Musee de l'Ecole de Nancy. We even managed to... More

Typical French city hotel. Relatively small, old, but charming and in working condition. Very friendly staff. Follow their eating advice: go to Foy and take the set menu. Rooms in the back have no traffic noise at all, although you can hear the neighbours.

First of all, the people of Hotel la Residence were friendly, and competent. The Hotel itself was clean, the breakfast quite good. It is a bit remote, but you can walk to centre of Nancy in about 15 minutes. On the way to city centre, there are fast food restaurants, and a small supermarket. Downside: Directly in front of the... Nice little hotel, informal and very friendly staff. Not top quality rooms but certainly a good price-quality ratio. Shower did not operate very well in the beginning but this was solved quickly. Very good breakfast. Location is not in down town Nancy but it's just a short walk to the city centre.

This hotel is the typical family ran business and it shows: very friendly and helpful staff, rooms are small but cosy and very clean at a very affordable price. Nice breakfast basket with croissants and others. Rooms were renovated recently and they are now modern and comfortable. The hotel is also ideally located with a tramway station two blocs away.

This hotel is a mile or so out of the centre of town and most of the sites but a convenient tram runs right past the door. It is very handy for the walk around a number of super Art Nouveau houses in including the Museum of the Nancy Ecole which is a must. The street is fairly quiet but... More

I stayed in this hotel for just one night. The room was clean and silent and appeared to provide me with an environmet for godd sleep. However, the room was a little bit chilly during night probably because the heater was not working properly. We went out for dinner at the restaurant recommended by the reception guy, but I would... A cozy hotel that has warmth and ambience is clean and very friendly. The manageress does not speak English but tries hard. Clean, quite and 20 minutes walk from Stanislas Square. The windows are double glazed for noise

I stayed here one night on my way from Brussels to Pontarlier. The hotel has a nice old-looking facade and a cosy bit old-fashioned looking reception and bar/breakfast area. That's why the room came as a nice surprise, being very modern and comfortabel. With a great view on the garden. Location is very good; it's a 15' walk to beautiful... More
