The Hotel de Guise is an XVIIIth century seignorial house. Marquis de Jouffroy and Countess de Bressey ordered its construction in 1752. Countess de Bressey is remembered in our local history as king Stanislas's favourite. The original foundations of the house date back from a 1600 abbey - see room "Stanislas" or Breakfast lounge on the ground floor. In that room, characteristic elements of the Louis XIII period can be seen: ceiling " a la francaise": exposed wooden beams and painted lily flowers a monumental fireplace with a stone paved chimney-piece The hotel has The hotel is built in a U shape around a court recently renovated. The 49 rooms of the hotel have all been renovated as well and propose you a wonderfull experience in the heart of the old town of Nancy

This is an excellent 3 Star hotel. The front desk personnel were exceptional. We asked a good place to eat and he gave us an area. We asked where he would eat and not only did he tell us, but he made a reservation during the mid-day hours the restaurant was closed via phone. It was excellent. The room, though modest, was spotlessly clean. There was a big sink that you could put both of our toiletries on. The bed was comfortable. There was a desk with chair plus a nice big chair to sit on. Unfortunately, our room had only upper windows, but the hotel cannot be faulted for that. It is a 10 minute walk to Place Stanislaus and all of the eateries and pubs there. You do have to walk from wherever you park to the hotel. If you can, ease your burden and drop your bags at the head of the street as it is a pedestrian way. We would stay there anytime in Nancy.

Stayed 2 nights in this very pleasant hotel, situated in the old town of Nancy, within easy walking distance of the sights. The de Guise is in a quiet street and we slept well, in very comfortable beds. Good shower and towels. The staff were friendly and helpful and we enjoyed the fresh fruits, homemade mirabelle jam and juice at breakfast. Would definitely return and recommend. Merci à tous!

The official photos of hotels exterior and the rooms do not really match what I have seen. There are photos being used from the world heritage place in Nancy that are being promoted as if they would have something to do with the actual hotel. A true picture of the hotel entrance I just uploaded. The rooms are either completely different in renovation state or the pictures shown by the hotel are also heavily doctored. My room I had to reach climbing a metal stair case - the room was not remodeled for many many years. Other rooms that I looked in when walking by had the same state.

Beautiful old mansion in a beautiful area. I couldn’t believe my luck when I walked into my room. Lovely big comfortable bed, tasteful decor, a bottle of water (refillable from the fridge downstairs) and a kettle! My only difficulty was ordering breakfast in French as it is not a buffet. You can get apple compote if you need some fruit!

We stayed one night in this charming and beautifully renovated and decorated hotel. It was located in a quiet area within walking distance of the old town. Our room was on the ground floor, just off the pretty courtyard. Initially this seemed a perfect spot, but it had its disadvantages: temperatures were exceptionally high and the room had no air conditioning - a ventilator was provided but was too noisy to keep on all night. Opening the window didn't help much, as we were obliged to keep the curtains closed to avoid being disturbed by light coming from what I assume was the kitchen on the other side of the courtyard. We were also woken by noise from the kitchen and people taking an early breakfast in the courtyard. If not for this, I would have given an 'excellent' rating. For a future stay I would choose one of the larger, cooler and more richly decorated rooms on the upper floor. The staff was helpful and very welcoming, the breakfast was plentiful and good value for money: organic cheese and yoghurt, muesli, fresh fruit juice, tasty bread and pastries. I very much appreciated too that we could help ourselves to water from a fridge in the hallway and that we had teamaking facilities in our room. I would definitely return to this hotel and recommend it. Nancy is a beautiful city, definitely worth a visit!

Tucked away in the older quarter of town, conveniently located to see the best of the historic city. The entrance retains the historic charm of the past while the rooms have been recently refurbished to a good modern standard, a tad on the small side but very comfortable. Staff are welcoming and helpful. No on-site parking but public parking is available nearby. A lovely fresh continental breakfast served in one of the elegant ground floor rooms. All in all, an enjoyable stop over in the lovely city of Nancy. Recommended, and will book again.

Loved staying at Hotel De Guise for three nights while visiting family in Nancy. Welcoming staff greeted us at the front desk. A large breakfast room and pleasant courtyard are just off the reception area. The significant marble staircase gives this boutique hotel a centuried charm and a graceful climb to our 3rd floor room. We traveled during an extreme heat spell and were pleasantly surprised to discover our room had full power air conditioning -- much more cooling than we anticipated. The room was efficient with desk, wardrobe and bench. The location was an easy walk to the train station, the old church, restaurants and Place Stanislas. We will book here again next time we come back to Nancy.

This boutique hotel is in a quiet location in central Nancy. Our room onto the courtyard was comfortable, spacious & quiet. Emmanuele et al were warm & welcoming. Breakfast was substantial with quality local produce. Good restaurants & cafes nearby. The only negatives- wifi could do with an upgrade & toiletries spartan.

One word explains everything: Fantastic. The room and the staff and the breakfast was top level. When we booked and when we came outside we was in doubt if we had done the right thing. But what a surprise! Thank you
