We had the most appalling service in their restaurant, from being shouted by by staff to them serving plain boiled pasta instead of chips, this could have been rectified so easily with apologetic staff and an offer of perhaps a free desert but they were just rude. It took an hour to get any food in front of us as...

Nice hotel and in a good location. Basic but clean and well-maintained with lots of nice restaurants nearby offering a selection of foods. Metz itself is OK but not worth spending more than a couple of days in

Ideal stop over place whilst on our trip to Germany. We had three rooms 17/18and 20 all very clean and no mound (as noted in another review) except someone had been smoking previously in 20. We where travelling by motorcycle and the very pleasant receptionist allowed us to park our bikes right outside our room. We had no concerns for...

Set in the middle of modern university buildings immediately by a small lake suitable for a stroll around to relax after travelling this basic motel had all we needed. Quiet clean room, free fast-enough wifi, decent bed, plenty of hot water and tea/coffee making kit. The room (006) was well decorated and mould-free (this point made in response to Janeeda's)...

Was at the hotel last night just on overnight stay on way back home from italy. Got to the hotel about 730 and met by a very pleasant receptionist and thought wow good start from the last review on here. We got the ground floor room as asked so well done. Thought it was a tad strange that you opened...

This place was awful, our room was damp, with mould on the windows and some strange marks on the walls. The door into the room didn't shut properly and during the evening mosquitos came through the gap and bit us. Would not stay here again couldn't wait to leave the next morning complete with 4 bites

This Campanile is definitely in the motel style and does not look like much but we thought it would be alright for an overnight stay to break up a much longer journey. Actually, it was much better than this. The staff were really good and dealt with any issues immediately. They were also very friendly. We ate in the restaurant...

Clean room, great location on the lake, brilliant for walking the dog. Basic but good facilities, coffee and tea in room as well as hairdryer and air con. Just a couple of miles from Metz centre but on an retail park so lots of shops and restaurants are close by.

“Best advice I can give is to book in advance - you get about 20% off the cost of the room. Only draw back is this is a prepay facility so you have to be sure you will go.”
