Dissapointed with the hotel in general. Rather drab and shabby decor. Staff rather inattentive - taking a phone call in the middle of checking us in, when another member of staff in reception area. We were given VIP vouchers for a drink in the bar, but no staff on the bar to serve us, even though the receptionist knew we...

The room was spacious and attractive although the view was over the inner courtyard and restaurant roof. The restaurant was rather good, with a very reasonable €15 three course set menu, with a vast buffet starter that would be a meal in itself. Breakfast was reasonably good too, although the cooked breakfast was put into a hotplate at the beginning...

We stayed at the Mercure for five nights in a first floor room at the side of the hotel overlooking the pedestrianised town centre area. The room had all services but one surprising feature was the lack of some of the bathroom requisites normally expected in a hotel of this level, only soap was supplied, no shampoos or similar products....

Montauban is a very nice city and great shops and atmosphere. The hotel is just in the city center, great place for shopping and plenty of other things. Although the building is a bit old the service in the hotel is excellent and the rooms are big and very good. All together a hotel which is very worth to stay...

Having attempted to book accommodation at the hotel we booked elsewhere but arranged to have the Friday evening seafood buffet at the Mercure. The head waiter Michel (restaurant manager) is superb, very welcoming and speaks excellent English! We had previously enjoyed the Friday evening seafood buffet and were not disappointed on this occasion. The staff were attentive, the food was...

Stayed in this hotel one night in July 2013 for a wedding that took place in the Cathedral, which is right next door to the hotel. Lovely and cozy hotel, interesting old building in the most convenient location in Montauban. Rooms are very clean, good air conditioning which is a must in the middle of hot European summers. Very friendly...

The very best buffet style lunch we have found in Montauban. Fantastic, extensive Salad Bar including plenty of seafood, salad and delicious cold meats. Also extensive cheese board, fruit and fruit juices. Second course is a pot-luck on what's on that day, could be Moules/Frites, Spaghetti Bolognese or whatever the dish of the day is ! Always interesting and mostly...
