Stayed for more than 2 weeks with my husband and 1 year old, and enjoyed it a lot!! Very clean, well organised camp site, with nice owners and decently priced. In close proximity to many touristic attractions, but at the same time located very rural and quiet, away from large roads. Loved to be able to swim, even on days when weather was a bit less (thanks to the pool cover and heating). Good size terrains, ours also had a lot of shade in the afternoon. Some camping places are far a bit far from the sanitary block and playground, but on the otherhand they are also more quiet in the evening. After 11 pm the campsite was mostly quiet, which is great with smaller children. Downside: our terrain was not completely flat, which is a bit difficult to compensate in a tent. Personal tip: include a broader range of good cocktails / mocktails in the bar? …
This was recommended by people on our travels and we were not disappointed. The site is lively and peaceful and the shower and loos are immaculate. The heated pool is also lovely. No complaints except to say that it states on the description that there are communal meal nights etc but as it was only mid June, not even the snack bar was open. Well the tables were all out but no one to serve food. I expect it’s a different story in July and August. We have been travelling in France for twelve days and only eaten out for three as nowhere seems to be open. Won’t come here so early in future. Anyway it’s a lovely site and well recommended.
We have been on this campsite four times and it just keeps getting better. There has been a lot of work done on this site which makes it a great place to stay and the family that run it are so lovely and helpful and friendly. We will just keep returning. Thank you for our enjoyable holiday, which has been made so relaxing.
We stayed here for 2 nights in a 3 bedroom cabin. We were greeted with a very warm welcome and shown to the cabin. The campsite is beautifully maintained and spotlessly clean. The pool area is fairly new and was heated. There was also a lovely outside jacuzzi to cool down in as well. The campsite is conveniently located for Rocamadour and other attractions though is a drive away from other amenities. The wifi was excellent much to the delight of our teenage children. We will be back x
We stayed here for 2 nights in early September. It's conveniently located between Rocamadour and the Gouffre de Padirac caves (hence the campsite name I guess!). It's in the countryside and to get to the nearest village you need to drive. However, the campsite has good facilities, including a lovely pool and bar/cafe which also sells bread and a few other essentials. The showers and toilets were very modern and clean and could not be faulted. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. If you're planning a visit to either of the places mentioned or are just wanting a relaxing overnight stay I would recommend it.
