We unexpectedly ended up in Rocamadour last month. We had only meant to drive through with a quick stop but realized that this village deserved more than a cursory glance. We saw this hotel right in the middle of town and rang the bell to see if they had any openings. Fortunately they did and what a treat! The hostess...

We were lucky on our lunch visit to get a table overlooking the valley below Rocamadour. We had mains of duck and a local cassoulet, both of which were very good. I had the local walnut cake smothered in chocolate for dessert and it was moist and decadent. Service in this restaurant was of a high standard but the views...

Arrived around 4 pm, following the little train right through the narrow streets of the centre of town which is where the hotel is ideally situated. We were able to park directly across the street. The room was clean but very small and since it was 38 degrees outside, was exceptionally hot. Breakfast was good and overall service superb.

We stayed here for 5 nights during the high season - yet we were treated to a great room with view of the valley below, lovely breakfasts and delectable dinners. Because it is located in the middle of this Unesco World Heritage Site, driving a car right to the front door of the hotel can be challenging. But the owner...

We loved the view out our window of the old buildings climbing up the cliff face across the street. The bells which rang on a regular basis ( from 8 am to 9 pm) in the high steeple were magical. Despite being on the main drag the room was quiet at night. The owner is a real worker bee and...

Parking is the big problem. Yes, you can park outside the hotel after 6pm. If you arrive before its a long, hilly and hot walk (in July). Location is stunning, view from dining terrace exceptional, food regional and good. Service in bar and restaurant very good. Breakfast, typically french, croissants, jam, yogurts ect. at €8 per person. Problem was the room....

This hotel is situated right in the thick of Rocamadour. Our room looked out over the main road through the village. The room was spacious and clean and the bed very comfortable. We ate dinner out on the deck as the sun set and enjoyed the fixed price meal on offer. Rocamadour is a very special place to visit and...

We stayed 1 night in room # 9, on the second floor, giving right on the beautiful landscape of the valley. The room is rather small but very convenient and well furnished; same remark for the bathroom with a shower and WC. The hotel staff is helpful and friendly; we parked our car just in front of the hotel; if...

this was early on during our trip through France, and I decided that staying within the city of Rocamadour would be great for my wife's first visit to France. well - we chose the right place. the rooms are small, the bathroom is small, the toilet in our room needed some manipulation of my knees - but we both feel...
