Am joining a group travelling later this spring staying for some nights at this hotel. I have come from another part of the world and on a totally different itinerary. Hence did I book the room direct through booking.com and my friend asked to cancel the room preliminary booked for me. Oh NO, pas possible! The hotel could not handle...

Hotel was very clean, looks to have been recently renovated. Very much enjoyed our stay at Le Lion d'Or. Nice sheets, bedding and we had a nice breakfast. Very well located to walk to restaurants in the quaint town of Bayeux.

A lovely old historic hotel with friendly service. The bed was comfortable, the room small. Unfortunately, the lights outside disturbed my sleep, even with the curtains drawn, but I might be particularly sensitive. My favorite thing, though, was the bar. Leather club chairs, a roaring fire, photographs on the wall of celebrity visitors through the years... Would return to this...

We stayed 2 nights here with a room on the 3rd floor that was very comfortable and quiet. Staff was very helpful and it was worth paying them to take our bags to the upstairs room. Location is perfect for walking to restaurants and shops in town. We had a very good dinner there the first night and breakfast gave...

I asked for a room on the ground floor because I have a problem with stairs. We were given a large double room as requested and were delighted with it. The wet room was very smart and also practical and the bedroom tastefully decorated. We would have eaten in the hotel as the menu looked good but it was closed....

Great place to stay. Staff is so welcoming and helpful. Great town and you can walk everywhere. Train station is 5 minute walk to hotel. So easy. Christmas is beautiful there. You can visit all the D-day landings.

The reception was friendly and helpful. Rooms are basic, but clean and serviceable. The lounge bar is comfy, and on a cold winter's night, very cozy with a roaring fire and a scotch. My only gripe would be the parking situation is not great. The hotel has their own spaces, but spacing is tight and they let cars park later...

Very clean and comfortable. Nice sized room for a European hotel. Staff was very nice and helpful. Great location in the downtown area. Nice little downtown. Parking is limited, so suggest reserving a parking space when making reservations.

Stayed here two nights, room was clean, comfortable, the heat worked fine, staff was great. Location is great, right in the middle of town. I paid the $10 daily fee for a parking spot in their lot, it was worth it.

This hotel is in a great location for visiting Bayeux and surrounding areas. The rooms were comfortable and clean. There was a good choice of food for breakfast, one could either have just a continental or the full works. The staff were friendly and helpful . We stayed here in December, and in the evening we would recommend sitting in...
