The perfect hotel to stay in as a base to visit the historic sites of WWII. Bayeux is a lovely town with great restaurants and home of the famous Bayeux Tapestry. All the WWII sites were within easy driving routes . The staff was excellent and would definetly stay there again

Was an overall ok experience. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. Staff was mostly friendly and the location is very good. The negatives; bad wifi, very noisy (old hotel and you could hear everything), shower had mold. I personally wouldn't stay here again. However, if you are touring all day and just need a night it's central...

The hotel was wonderful. Great location and very attentive staff. There is no elevator at this property, but the ground floor rooms were nice and quiet. The restaurant in the hotel was good and the bar was quaint and had a good selection of local wines and spirits.

Nice comfortable hotel near the attractions in Bayeux. More importantly the resturant was out of f this world. After spending a year in France this was one of our last stops before our visas expire. It was one of the best eating experiences we had in the entire year. The food was elegant and loaded with flavor. The desserts were...

It had been over ten years since I last stayed at the Lion d'Or. I had great memories of the place, and the second time did not disappoint. The furnishings were upgraded without losing the original appeal. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Our second night, my mother did not want to eat much for dinner, so the front...

Lovely hotel in a great position. Lots of character and a cosy lounge with an open fire- perfect for pre dinner drinks. The staff were helpful and polite. The only downside was the sound proofing could be improved, however as its such an old property I realise this could be difficult .

This was a nice hotel, very charming. People treated us very well. I'm not sure if this is family hotel, we didn't find it friendly for small children. I don't think they have an elevator. Their restaurant food was really good too.

This is a solid choice for accommodations while exploring Bayeux and the surrounding war sites. Very friendly and approachable staff willing to help you with any tour planning. The location is great and you can walk there easily from the train station. I had carry on luggage so that was easy for me. The Main Street and old town are...

Le Lion d'Or was quite comfortable and located right on the main shopping street and within walking distance of museums and restaurants. The restaurant was quite good and the lounge cozy and full of signed photos of celebrities that have stayed there.
