We recently stayed at Le Lion d'Or on a weekend trip to tour the d-day sites. The location was perfect, quiet since set off the main street but in the middle of town with tons of restaurants and shops nearby and parking available. The hotel itself was nice, clean and lots of character. The breakfast buffet was simple but good.

Our room was well appointed and cozy, with the window opening up to the view of the courtyard/ parking area. There were lovely flowerboxes...

We stayed for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. To be fair we didn't take full advantage of the facilities so can't comment on the food or service on that side of things. The room was fine but didn't have a very nice outlook. Everything worked ok though. The hotel bar should be a nice place to spend an hour,...
