Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed here for five nights to do our own tour of the Normandy beaches, war cemeteries and to see the Bayeux Tapestry.
The site is in a good location for Bayeux as it’s about a ten minute walk into the town. There is a supermarket and McDonalds etc all within walking distance, but be aware there is a lot of road noise as it it right next to a main road.
The site itself is well kept and nice with plenty of hedges and trees, there is a separate field for tents and some static caravans.
Facilities are good, with plentiful showers / sinks / toilets (even a couple of the ladies toilets have seats!).
There are also numerous sinks to do laundry / washing up along with a washing machine and a dryer.
There’s a new swimming pool right next door and reception will give you a pass for each time you want to use it, also there is a separate ‘wet weather’ room with plenty of seating and a TV etc
All in all it’s a nice, convenient site a just be aware the pitches are not huge and it is tight to get your vehicle around….

This campsite was fabulous for visiting Bayeux as just, a very pleasant, 10 minute walk alongside the river to the town. Perfect for visiting the tapestry. Pitches were first class with plenty of room and very close to being level. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Great to get passes for the municipal swimming pool next door which unfortunately we didn't get the chance to use. Free wifi at the pitch though this was a little temperamental. Toilet blocks tidy and clean but a definite lack of toilets on the men's side which only had three resulting in queues in the morning. The showers were good, nice and hot but inconvenient as you have to keep pressing the button every 2 seconds which made washing hair very difficult. Would highly recommend a stay here provided you dont mind the toilets/showers. It is an Municipal Acsi site and cost us €19 per night.

Perfect site for visiting Bayeux.
The first pitch we were given was very narrow and not really enough room to put up our awning. Went back to the office and was offered another pitch which was larger. No issues in moving.
The site is quite large and the facilities are good.
The walk into the centre of Bayeux takes about 20 minutes......gentle stroll through a park and alongside the river. You come out right next to the tourist information office.
Going out the back entrance to the site, it is about a 10 minute walk to a large Carrefour which is very handy. My wife also found a wool shop opposite the Carrefour which she was very happy about.
Loved Bayeux and would definitely stay at this site again

There were many positives about the site such as excellent location to visit Bayeux and good size pitches. Furthermore, there is a public pool next to it which campers can access. However, while we were there, the cleanliness of the amenities was not up to standard. One particular morning, the toilets were disgusting. I’m not sure whether they were having problems with the plumbing and blockages, but the reason many people stay in campsites instead of Aires that are cheaper, is to have access to clean amenities so that really needs to be right. If that had been up to standard, I would have given the park a higher rating. Another disadvantage is the fact that the site only has one washing machine which was frustrating as the demand was high on the days we were there.

Well-maintained park-like campsite with spacious pitches and attractive sanitary facilities. The location in relation to the city is fine. Minus point is the beautiful municipal swimming pool that you can use for free, but during our stay it was often only accessible from 12:00 to 13:30 and from 16:30 to 19:30 or 21:30 but only the lessons are outside pool to use.

This is a very well-positioned site for walking or cycling into all the important sites and places of interest in Bayeux. We cycled along the river in to town.
It only takes 10-15 minutes. We also cycled to Arromanches which is about 10k away, very easy ride.
The Wi-Fi is free and worked well for me.
Pitches are spacious and there is attractive planting. Washing and sanitary facilities are good.

The site is well located for visiting the area around Bayeux and the Normandy D-Day beaches were within easy reach. The pitches looked a bit tired, although to be fair we were there in September 2022 and France had suffered drought condition for long periods during the summer. We would happily return if circumstances allow.

Superb site near Bayeux city centre and the sights like the Tapestry and D-Day museum. The beaches close by.

We stayed only one night as we were on the way back from further south.

The motorhome pitches are kerb lined and have plenty of grass. We were close to the facilities which are clean and well maintained.

You can order bread etc for the following morning from reception.

Will definitely go back another time to do the beaches.

This is a well maintained, clean and tidy camp site in a great location.
That is why we have visited a number of times now and hope to do again in the future.

What really sets this site apart is the staff.

Tragically after spending only 2 days in France at this site this year we had to return home due to the premature birth of our grandson who sadly died 2 days later.

The staff could not have been more understanding, sympathetic and caring amending bookings and even checking with my brother the following day if we had got home safely!

You think everyone would respond this way but our experience with Camping le Futurise was the complete opposite, see separate review.

So in summary, a great place to stay in a beautiful town with lots to see and do where you will be served wonderfully well by exceptional staff.
