What can I say, me and my lover had a fantastic nights stay at the play den oasts. Kim is the perfect host. A beautiful ray of sunshine who made our trip away. Kim was the perfect host. She was there from the minute we arrived, providing laughter, warmth and a smile that could light even the darkest of rooms. She even went as far as to upgrade our room as a gesture. I can’t wait to go back and see Kim and the team. 5 stars isn’t enough!
Beautiful place , very well looked after food was amazing my wife and 2 girls had a lovely and much needed stay over trip was made to feel very welcome . We will definitely be back thanks again. Thank you so much .
Stayed here with my partner, once we checked out I got an email from booking.com as you do asking how your stay was so I proceeded to tell them. I told them how we felt so I welcomed on our arrival by Kim, how our sleep was awful as there was noise constantly throughout the night, how when we went for a drink at the bar in the evening we had to call the lady to get own even though she was RIGHT IN FRONT OF US and told us it was table service. How when we got a drink we felt like we were a pain, and how she spoke to other guest compared to us was completely different, was it because we are an early 20’s couple and the others were older? We are still all paying the same amount to stay so should get the same service! The next day I get an email back from the owner of the hotel, to which I was absolutely disgusted! She moaned at me for not eating in her establishment, which I didn’t realise we had to just as we were staying there. She then moaned at me for us only having 3 rounds in the bar area, but when she was charging over £23 a round for mediocre drinks we weren’t going to stay much longer, and how we checked out 15 minutes late even though she never told us our check out time so didn’t like 11:15 when we had paid to have no sleep there wasn’t too shambolic. She didn’t take any of our criticism into account and just said that no one else ever complains, but if someone has the least she should do is apologise for this. The rooms and building needs some TLC but maybe the staff should get some training first. …
Considering Covid, a good enough stay but rooms quite shabby with poor quality fittings and furniture though the bed was really comfy. Chipped milk jug and sour milk in breakfast room. The hot and well cooked breakfast and restaurant eve meal was fine. Helpful staff . Carpet everywhere especially in breakfast room unacceptably tatty and garden entrance looked in need of tidying. Tv bedside tables and all toilet fittings need updating. But a fair stay
we were welcomed as soon as we arrived by Kim in our room they had put up a banner and a balloon. and they kindly allowed me to have a steak it wasn't on the sunday menu they gave us a glass of bubbly and the meals were lovely and huge so was the pudding. We would be happy to stay again
