We stayed in the Gite for 2 nights. The hotel has several options for families, through cleverly connecting rooms it is possible to create a comfortable gite for up to 12 people. Rooms are fresh and lovely. Nice garden to relax in and very sweet dog with questioning eyes (especially when there is food around). Honfleur itself is often crowded and slightly too busy, so it was nice to be just around the corner. Highly recommendable!

Great property and very helpful owners. We arrived late, but the owners helped us with everything we could need or want. Tesla charger in a private parking. The property is beautifully restored and clever planned. Very well equipped kitchen and cozy living room and even a fridge with good selection of wines and champagne for those who would enjoy a bottle of good wine after everything is closed. The room was spotless, very big bathroom with bobble bath and walk in shower. 10/10

As other reviewers have written, there are pros and cons. The building in itself is beautiful and the rooms have sea-view, but our sea-view was looking straight at Le Havre harbour! Not too bad, but it is not what You see on the photos and expect. Friendly service and excellent breakfast. I would gladly return, but would then probably settle for a better room

We had booked 4 nights in a superior (de-luxe) room with both sea and garden view. However, looking at the nice pictures on the hotel web site you cannot detect that the hotel building and therefor the room is actually just a few meters of the main road, i.e. you have forget to have windows open despite hot weather (and no A/C). The sea view comprised mainly the container terminal and oil refinery of the Le Havre harbor. The garden view was from the bath room…
The room itself was big with a comfortable bed but apart from that quite “unfurnished”. The “sitting area” comprised one small round table and one(1) high chair. In addition was there a small old sofa bed. The bathroom was big with a bath tub and separate shower but no amenities.
With all respect – we would not classify this as a superior room priced at 200+ Euros/night.
Breakfast was served at 08:30 which is quite late even by French standards. No hot items were available, not even a boiled egg. There are no personnel at the premises after 19:00. Outside the breakfast area is an honesty bar with beer, wine, sodas, snacks and small (overpriced) food items to be heated in a micro. Wine could only be bought in full bottles! On the wall was several placards stating that no beverages or food items could be brought along by guests themselves for consumption on the patio or in the garden….
It should also be noted that the “swimming” pool actually is a 3 x 6 m plunge pool.
Unfortunately , did we have to shorten our stay with one day for medical reasons outside of our control. We asked for a change of our reservation from 4 to 3 days. The answer was – it is impossible. Asking why – because you booked 4 days (yes, we knew that but this was extraordinary circumstances). Can we talk to the manager – he is away on holiday. Can you call him – it is impossible. Complete stone wall from the receptionist. The conversation, although very short, was held with the help a Google Translate since the hotel personnel only speaks a few words of English. Leaving one day earlier but having to pay for the 4th day we asked if we please could have an earlier breakfast than 08:30 because we had to drive 900 kilometers. The answer was – it is impossible. Asking why – because we serve at 08:30 and not earlier. A new stone wall – but why and why such an inflexible attitude?
In summary:
With personal long time management experience from the hospitality industry our “verdict” is: NOT recommended. Overpriced for what you get, more focus on revenues than the customer, inflexible.

Very nice garden ,nice location but lacks personality. No responsable on site ,if you have any problems you have to speak via phone to a non client orientated person.if you go there enjoy it but keep in mind that it is just a business.to expensive for what it is.
Honfleur is NOT easy to reach by feet..too dangerous.

We were 3 couples renting the larger house. It is in a stunning location with fantastic views over the estuary. Four large bedrooms each with modern, spotless en-suite bathrooms. Comfortable beds, bathrobes and slippers provided. Very well appointed kitchen. Comfortable Sitting Room and large dining room. Quality "Kettle" BBQ and good outside dining on large terrace. Could do with more outside comfortable chairs.
5 minute drive into Honfleur where there is plenty of parking. Simply perfect. Could do perhaps with instructions on recycling, laundry (what to do with bedding !) etc. in different languages. We will definitely come here again.

Was hovering between 4 and 5 rating, but the very friendly Kristine and the beautiful gardens tipped the scales to five.
Not knowing the area, we selected Honfleur for three days of beach activity during two weeks in France. We froze. We also did not realise that Honfleur was so far from any D-Day memorials, which we had hoped to visit. We did try to visit Omaha beach once, but the GPS and ourselves got so confused by road closures and redirections that we gave up. I suggest that you take a very good paper map when driving in this area and use it to over-ride the GPS. But Honfleur is still a pretty town and has a wonderful art museum. Deauville is also very attractive, but large and very very cold on the beach in June.
But none of this should detract from the Domaine du Clos Fleuri. Take the time to engage Kristine and she will tell the story of the building and can help with any directions in the region. Her breakfasts are beautiful, and she is more than happy to let you use the facilities for tea making or even for an evening picnic. The gardens are well worth a walk around. Flowers, fruit and vegetables. Our kids loved the swings. We were in a suite on the top floor and I must admit to hitting my head on the canted beams at least twice, so if available a first floor room might be easier on the head, but the noise level might be higher from those above cursing after hitting their heads. I rated the stairs 7/10 on the "70 year old with luggage" scale. curved in parts but quite wide.

First for the plus: The hotel is stunning and the gardens are spectacular with fantastic views of the water. Our room was beautiful well decorated with two windows facing water with wonderful views. The breakfast was good and well staffed. The rooms were not quiet as there is a major road that runs along the water side. The pool and sauna were great and there is an adorable dog on the property named Link. The kids loved the pool, the gardens and of course the dog.
The cons: It is NOT walkable to Honfleur. The roads have blind turns and it is extremely dangerous. The beach is not walkable either because the owner will not open the small gate to the side of the property and the main gate has a blind turn on it. We walked to the beach anyway but it was dangerous. Look for a small stairwell at the sailing house and you can get to the beach. There is virtually NO staff at this hotel. When we arrived we had to search all over the hotel to find a maid to check us. She spoke only French which was find for us because I speak French but if you don't speak French this could be a bit more difficult. After about 3:00 PM even the maid is gone and the hotel is completely devoid of staff. There is an honor bar but that is it. If you need help with a dinner reservation or have a question about your room well you are out of luck. I would not stay in this hotel again because it just lacked too much. I mean on the last day we left for Paris at 7:00 AM and were forced to leave our keys are the never staffed front desk. The hotel is nice just be prepared for a very quiet, dark, understaffed hotel. Honestly the pool, grounds, and room were fantastic. We just thought that we would be able to walk to Honfleur and the beach which was not possible and there was no staff to help with anything.

A wonderful spot, with a wonderful host and delightful hostess. Has everything provided for a relaxing and comfortable stay. Lots to see and do, picturesque locality. We stayed two nights and had a wonderful time. Very highly recommended. Secure grounds. Great outdoor gardens for children and all fenced. We visited in winter but pool and fitness centre due for completion soon. Is in easy distance to town centre but in quiet position for relaxing stay.
