The location couldn't be better as it is less than 2 minutes from the Abbey. The B&B is small and run by an English family who are friendly and go out of their way to be helpful. Food was reasonably priced, plentiful and freshly prepared. If you like clutter and bric a brac then this will suit you down to... More

Great fun and friendly! Lots of bric-a-brac and artefacts everywhere and Teresa gives everything her personal touch. A very small, family run business where they go out of their way to make guests welcome and be warmly received. Little added extras to the menu are tasty and delightful. The bathroom just about works OK, but still with lots of complimentary... More

The rooms are richly decorated, a bit over the top, but upon closer examination there is also much of interest. Beds and bathroom (shower) excellent, and we had a privat dining room where our breakfast and dinner was served! Fontevraud is an excellent location to explore the Loire Valley castles and this is the place to stay! Tony can make... More

We called in for tea, lovely setting, very english, sumptuous scones for one who misses those home experiences. Teresa was very welcoming and friendly, A lovely english experience, very appropriate with Richard the Lionheart only meters away.

We literally walked out of the abbey and round the corner and this was the first B&B we found. Luckily there was a charming room free for two nights. It was the perfect place for our short stay en route from the Atlantic to Strasbourg. The room was a delight to the eye, with china and pictures everywhere. A very... More

Visited Fontevraud for an overnight stay and found Chez Teresa in the centre of the village to be a very sweet, cosy and comfortable Bed and Breakfast. Teresa and Tony were charming hosts and nothing was too much trouble for them. The breakfast included fresh home made scones which were truly delicious, more home made biscuits were in the room... We had an excellent 3 course Italian style meal. Teresa makes the most wonderful strawberry cheesecake! Such lovely hosts and a magical atmosphere in their delightful dining room. The tearoom is a real treasure trove and I keep returning there time after time.

Chez Teresa is an ideal location for spending a few days in the Loire, or as a stop off to the south. It is central to the town and all its amenities, including the abbey which is well worth a visit. As hosts they are most welcoming and offer a refreshing taste of the past with their fresh scones, teas,... More

Staying at 'Chez Teresa' was such a nice experience. A treat for the eye because of all the decoration Teresa collected over the years (and the stories behind it...). A treat for the inner person because of the delicious homemade food that is being served (the scones! the salmon!). A treat for the hart because of the personal and warm... More

Teresa and Tony are wonderful hosts, Teresa's home baking is delicious, I would definitely recommend the scones! The tea rooms and bedrooms are full of enchanting items that deserve a thorough inspection and are also a perfect place for a well-earned rest and relaxation. The tea rooms are also ideally situated to explore the surrounding village of Fontevraud and its... More
