This is a waterfront hotel with limited rooms but a place with great character and charm. We only stayed one night in a large room overlooking the river. Creaky floors added to the character of this well decorated and furnished large r Bedroom with en suite bathroom. Sadly no shower except in the bath so remember to ask for shower... More

This old post office has been beautifully renovated into a very comfortable B&B. Only five rooms but most are suites all set around a courtyard. Suite 7 is at the rear of the building if you want quiet and a view of the castle. Very enthusiastic host with great recommendations for places to eat and things to do. Continental breakfast... Stayed for four nights whilst on a motorocycle tour of the Normandy Coast and Loire Valley. We received a warm welcome from the host and a cold beer on arrival, the best start to what was a wonderful break ! The suite we stayed in was large, comfortable and beautifully decorated with an antique / shabby chic feel that was... More

Having decided to break our journey from Bordeuax - le Touquet, we opened the map-book and pointed to a town halfway between the two called Saumur. Further validated by one of our party saying they did good wine in the region. I have absolutely no recollection how we selected Le Patio B &B, and had no expectations, but we were... More

only stopped one night but had a very warm and enthusiastic welcome, the whole place is so full of character and the room over looked the Le Loire, breakfast was very french, really can't fault anything and would go back without hesitation.

This was our second visit to Le Patio and the welcome was as great as ever. The rooms are amazing being full of character in this fantastic building. The courtyard is peaceful and a great place for an evening drink before the short walk to the town centre and great restaurants. We will be back !

A warm friendly welcome got things off to a good start. We met the resident parrot by the name of Aston. What a character, you don't often see a parrot being cuddled and he was quite happy to visit whilst we were in the courtyard. Our room was large with a pleasant view over the river. The room furnishings, as... More

We were there in May 2015, we had a nice stay, the host was charming, the room was perfect, and the breakfeast with fresh bread and croissants too. We walked in town and went to a good restaurant. Would like to return.

We stayed here for one largely due to the many rave reviews it received. Well I don't know what these reviewers are used to, but it was a big disappointment to us. The strictly enforced no entry till 17.00 policy wasn't a great start and most inconvenient. When we eventually made it through the door the proprietor was very helpful,... More
