We were staying elsewhere, a work colleague and myself, and chose to visit the restaurant at the Campanile in Laon. It was, after all, literally just across the road from where we were staying. And, the food, was perfect! We chose the 23.90 euro option, starter buffet, main course and dessert buffet and it was lovely, the starter buffet had...

We just stayed here for one night, Good bed and nice sheets. Unfortunately we were woken very early next morning by a coach running his engine for a long time right outside our room. Breakfast is more than adequate. Only two hours to the port.

We didn't stay at the hotel because it was fully booked but ate at the restaurant. We chose the triple menu, self service buffet for starters, a choice of main course from either the menu or the day board, plus a self service dessert buffet. Efficient and friendly service and very good value for money.

About 2hrs 30mins from the ports. Close to motorway exit. Choice of 4 places to eat within walking distance. Quiet good nights sleep. No problem with our Labrador made welcome. Room clean and aduquate size.

This is a great location if you are breaking a journey from the south, and are heading for Dunkirque. Difficult to find ,as you have to travel through Laon to find it,it's perfect for access to the motorway north,so would be easiest to find if traveling south, may be worth looking at staying on motorway one more junction,if driving north, then approach from...

I feel like a parrot looking at the previous review. I too have a coeliac wife who was very poorly catered for, although I didn't email ahead to be fair. To put it in context though, we stayed in an Ibis last week at short notice, and they quickly defrosted gluten free bread and madelaine cakes for breakfast. Wife tells...

this Campanile looks tired and old fashioned. Our room looked really in need of major refurbishment and bringing up to date. The whole place looked somewhat down at heel and shabby. We did end up having quite a nice meal but as usual in France, the menu pricing was complicated and what was supposed to one fixe prix ended up...

We were here for 1 night. Rooms are small and could use better cleaning, but in the end you have all you need: good bed, good linen, great pillow (we slept very good), decent size bath room (not very clean) with a good hot shower, blinds for the windows, free internet,... We also tried the restaurant on site for dinner...
