We spent 2 nights here. Plenty of space outside the campsite for parking whilst visiting reception. Friendly and helpful reception, mainly speaking French. Reasonably sized pitches separated by relatively high hedges – if sitting out, not possible to see over them! Good facilities (unisex), plenty of toilets (some Turkish), showers and privacy cubicles. Toilet paper is provided. Excellent showers with...

we stayed at this site thinking that it was much closer to the beach but you have to cross the railway line to get to it. The shower blocks were clean but need updating. There were several cracked tiles in the showers. We stayed just for one night with our caravan. We did manage to choose a spacious pitch. Although...

Third visit. Clean facilities. Helpful staff. Can't understand reports of noise from trains, they mostly run during day and are very quiet. Had two large parties of French students while we were there in last two weeks they were slightly noisy but just having fun. Polite and friendly Worst noise was crying baby!! Near to supermarket.

The main issue with the anti - English comment isn't so much that the managers don't like the English, the issue is noone speaks English. As a criteria for 4 stars this a problem. I had to translate for a few people over the stay of the holiday who were not being understood at all. That said the staff were...

A bit late, I know, but I was moved to write a review after reading some of the others as our experience was good. The site itself is large but clean and well-kept, as were the toilets and showers. We found the staff to be nothing but friendly and helpful and I'm afraid that I must have been going around...

Wanted camp site near La Rochelle and the beach. Beach is a 10 min walk away across railway line but unable to swim in the sea as the beach is really a mud flat when the tide is out and the area surrounding looks derelict and a bit unsavoury! We had our beach towels stolen off our washing line on...

Site was fine. Didn't find it anti english at all. Friendly staff. Big site without the lovely ambience many french sites have. The water park is great and is its saving grace. The location is dreadful. It is nestled between two abandoned campsite, now derelict and on wasteland. The beach is muddy and not pleasant. The area is new residential...

This is a place you want to avoid. The place isn't so bad (I speak passable Fench, which may have helped), and the pizzas decent. However I can't recommend it in any way due to the area it is in. Basically the entire way to La Rochelle you are goign past abandoned and derelict houses, industrial estates, trains, and lorries....

I was on holiday here in August camping with my family. We had quite a journey getting there and just wanted to pitch our tent. Reception was friendly and allocated us pitch 23 and said not too pay as we may wish to stay longer so just pay when you leave - I should have been supicious then. We have...
