The walking into city and tourist information was a trek. The possibility to visit Isle de Re by bus and go around the island in a day was impossible due to timetables etc. The hostel had fairly economy driven breakfast. I had my own diet provisions so the breakfast was not really for me. I picked amongst provisions which were... More

The hostel location was perfect right next to the port, bars, cafes and the best beach in La Rochelle. Walking distance from water bus to the old port. However no air con, and rooms small so it was stuffy. Major minus was that there was no shared guest kitchen facility, so we had to eat out despite having bought food.... More

maybe I expect too much, but I was not too much of a fan of this hostel. Yes, this hostel was clean and comfortable, but it really lacked some of the basics I have come to expect at a hostel these days. This hostel did not have towels to rent, which I really thought was standard, so bring your own.... More

Managed to book a room on the spot with limited French speaking skills, due to very patient, friendly staff. Rooms were clean and functional and wifi had a good, strong connection for Skyping. Breakfast was basic cereal or toast but anywhere in France the bread is good. The hostel is an easy walk into town where there is a lot... More

I' m from Spain. I did my tour through France in hotels, but I stop here and I didn't miss them. This hostel is comfortable and clean, I had a private room with my own bathroom so I can' t say about the common rooms. For me was an excellent choice and I wish to find more places like this... More

Really great location, short walk to the beach where there is plenty to do. The rooms were decent, plenty of storage space provided. The toilet and sink are in different areas which I found as a slight inconvenience. Showers were good, even if on the small side. Food was very poor and does not cater to vegetarians or allergies such... More

Clean and comfortable rooms, good showers, but there is almost nothing to do, the food was poor, there were some unnecessary rules regarding the room corridors, and the staff did not have very good English. Free wifi lacked speed and reliability. Nice enough to sleep in but make sure you're able to travel away in the day.

It's a very nice place, renewed and pretty clean. The friendly staff speaks good English and it's ready to help you anytime. The breakfast is basic but tasty. The hostel is environmental friendly and for few additional euros, you eat a very good meal. I would come back, for sure.

I attended with my school, we had no idea what the hostel was like. It was fine when we arrived but we had a few issues. The food wasn't prepared right, it was disgusting. We also was harassed by other lodgers, reception didn't care. Wifi wasn't accessible in rooms and I struggled to get even the most basic task of... More

I've travelled Europe an stayed in over a hundred Hostels, this one was a no-repeat. There was no wifi in the rooms and the manager told us to deal with it, even when the web page says there was. They make you buy a "membership card" that costs 11E additional to whatever you are paying for the room, its 40... More
