The hotel rooms are quite good and renewed, spacious even though mine looked over a closed space. Bathroom correct and pleasantly there were shelves to leave things. Location is also good as it's near the station and the Palais des Papes. But there is no wifi! Which for me was essential. I was on a half business trip and as...

Everything is good about the Bristol. My wife and I were there very recently for a week's stay and we found it very comfortable in all respects - the room, the breakfast service, the bar and all the staff. It also has a very convenient location on the main street - handy for shops restaurants and the incredible museums. We...

My wife and I arrived at the Bristol Hotel in Avignon two days prior to our scheduled check in date. Oops! While we were flustered after a long day of traveling, Claude at the front desk calmly rearranged our room dates and with a pleasant sense of humor put us at ease. He later arranged a local tour that was...

Staff is very nice and friendly, but rooms are a bit musty. The showers are old, the towels are thin, the mattress is lumpy, no second roll of toilet paper is provided, had to ask for one twice. Could definitely use some extra electric outlets. Horrible wifi. Place is very popular with tour groups but I can't avoid thinking that...

I choose this hotel for my 6-night stay because it was close to the train station and because it was inside the ramparts. The room was clean and well maintained. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice of foods to make well-balanced diet. I know some French, but when I got stuck, the staff were all fluent in English. It's...

Really nice hotel in an excellent location a 5 minute walk from the Palace des Papes and numerous bars and restaurants. Friendly, efficient staff for whom nothing is too much trouble.Hassle-free valet parking. Comfortable rooms and excellent breakfasts. The hotel is a little staid with a quiet atmosphere and felt a little like a 'Gentleman's Club' albeit a very nice...

We stayed at the Bristol Hotel for 3 nights. It's a short walk from the Avignon Train station (which you can use to connect to the Avignon TGV station). The staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We had a room that was large by European standards and overlooked a side street. So, it...

My most recent adventure is still ongoing --ends tomorrow-- and the first night of this journey I decided to visit a place I'd been many years before; Avignon. I chose the Bristol for one reason; location, location, location. The staff were helpful and friendly, but the room was average at best, small and quite dark as the window opened out...
