The whole atmosphere was run-down, tawdry & sleazy - so much stuff was broken. Our bedroom was supposed to have an 'ensuite'. What we got was a tiny washbasin, loo & shower jutting into the room space with plasterboard walls & a concertina-type door. It was impossible to sit on the loo & shut the door, it was just so... I know it's a 1-star hotel so expectations were not high, but it could be cleaner. It's handy for the station and the town centre, and easy to find. So it's a useful stopover from London. But it's so run-down and grubby, - and not *that* cheap. At €50 a night in high season this hotel is out of reach... More

Cardabella is well located, near both the train/bus station and the city centre. We were located on the ground floor which was good because they don't have a lift. The room was small but sufficient with a very small bathroom in the room. So small that you had to either go to the toilet with the door open or sit... More

The people & staff were very helpful and spoke great English. I got a recommendation to stay at this hotel as part of my ride up to Mont Ventoux. The place was pretty quiet around mid October when I went. The location is about 5 minutes up the main street of Avignon City, from where I got off the train... More

The managers were very kind and friendly. The room was as described - with a shared toilet. The bed was more like a futon than a spring mattress but for the cost, I didn't expect much. The location was perfect and I had a great stay.

Everything about this hotel was fine except the bathroom. If you are the only one in the room that is fine, but you would have to leave the bathroom door open to use the facilities. I believe they converted a closet into a bathroom, it is extremely narrow. It is located not too far from attractions and good restaurants--one right... More

The positives were the excellent location, the freindly staff, the clean sheets on the bed, and the inexpensive price. There was no elevator, but we expected that at this price. However, we read in a 2014 quidebook that this hotel was "spotless". It was the worst hotel of our five weeks away. There were crumbs of food on the dirty... More

As a solo I stayed in double room (french bed). The bed/room size was for me good but for two people a little bit too small. The location of the hotel is excelent (ten minutes walking from the train station) inside the walls of the old city. It is in the old building so the installation is improvised. The bathroom was... More

The staff are obliging and pleased to assist with any queries. The location is excellent being close to the station and in the centre of town. Breakfast is a pleasant experience. Rooms are spotless and an effort has gone into their decoration.

We booked this hotel through booking.com (booked it as Hotel Innova, they are changing the hotel name and managemente as well) and got frutrated with the service. We arrived at 19.00 and the hotel clerk was didn't know English, as it is inside the old city walls it's impossible to park the car close to the hotel. After finding someone... More
