We had a one night stopover in Avignon and had not appreciated the arts festival was at that time. We were lucky to find any hotel which could take us, we were especially lucky it was this one. We were met with friendliness , our luggage was cared for as we had arrived so early and it was transferred to...

This hotel is clean and fairly basic. We stayed 3 nights in July. It is about 15 mins walk from the main centre of Avignon. We went during the festival and had a fantastic time. Make sure you have good walking shoes due to cobbled streets. Breakfast at hotel was continental and very fresh. Nice outdoor area. The staff are excellent...

Hughes (pronounced Hugo) was super helpful. We checked in very late and he arranged everything in advance. Breakfast was good and nice to sit out side. Car park feels secure if you have a car loaded up with stuff whilst travelling on. The whole place is pretty basic and a little dated but clean, you get what you pay for....

I booked this hotel for stop over on the way back from a month long trip to the Cote D'azure, it is a budget hotel, within walking distance of the old city of Avignon. The staff were incredibly helpful giving very useful advice regarding the city and what to see and do with limited time. The room was basic but...

We stayed here for 1 night & had booked it through booking.com & got ourselved a good last minute deal. The hotel is about a 15-20min to the Palais de Papais. The rooms were smaller than all our rooms booked in France, even Paris. There was no a/c, but that was not a big problem, as we used the room...

We stayed at this hotel for two nights. Before the trip, I had the most uneasy feeling about this hotel compared to all the other hotels that I booked for our three week driver tour of France and this turned out to be the worst hotel for our entire trip. I booked this place because every other hotel that looked...

Our stay was plagued by sewage smells and plumbing issues. Would not recommend. The rooms were bare bones and had the feel of being in a basement - old stucco walls in the bathroom, swinging doors on the bathroom that don't entirely shut. The only redeeming quality was the breakfast patio which was surprisingly nice and a huge contrast to...

Hôtel Saint George is one of those hotels that are hard to give one-dimensional rating. It is a mixture of hospitable owner, attractive price, acceptable location, low sleep quality, and poor facility. It may work quite well with some people, and not so with others. Saint George is located on Rue de l'Étoile, a small alley branching out of Avenue...

Good location if you are travelling by car, as there is secure parking right next to the hotel. Be prepared to walk 10-15 minutes to the town centre. The owner is very friendly and helpful, giving good advice on restaurant choices and directions. We did not have breakfast there, but reading the other reviews, we should have! The neighbours (bar...

We only had 1 night at Hotel Saint George but we could have stayed longer. Hugues was a wonderful host - great communication with me before our visit and he went out of his way to assist us with all our requests. The room was clean, great bed, complimentary bottled water, smallish bathroom but plenty of hot water. Great breakfast...
