We stayed in Le Vanillé for 9 nights and we loved it.
The hotel is cozy and nicely decorated. We booked two rooms, one sea view and one garden view. The sea view from the balcony was fantastic and we really enjoyed spending time there. It does get a bit noisy as there is a busy road right under. The windows keep the noise out but we couldn’t sleep with the windows open. The garden view room was quiet.
Both rooms were comfortable and very clean. The beds were comfortable.
The beach is literally 20 seconds away which makes it easy to go for a swim. The hotel does provide beach chairs and umbrellas but they are not very comfortable so we preferred to go to one of the private beaches nearby (there are 3 within a 5-min walk).
We were really happy that there are several good restaurants just next to the hotel.
The parking is just behind the hotel and we always found a spot there.
The hotel staff was helpful and friendly however we regret that no one was wearing a mask. For this reason we took our breakfasts and drinks elsewhere as literally all restaurant and bar staff nearby were wearing masks as it is required by the law.
Something to keep in mind is that the hotel has two floors but no elevator which can be challenging for older guests.
Overall we had a fantastic experience and we were sad to leave!

If I knew I was coming back to Cagnes anytime soon I probably wouldn’t give out the name of this hotel but kept it to myself for future purposes. Vanille is very nice little hotel by the sea promenade, so dip to stony beach is easily done before breakfast. Our room was splendid for us and 2 teenagers, two separate rooms, though without doors, bathroom very spacy. Price was very attractive, ofcourse being low season.
Hotel has parking place next to the hotel, which I suppose is especially handy in the high season but now as well. Breakfast (additional cost) is basic containing few essentials, seems to be the french way, not too much to choose from. Service was very friendly. Distance to Nice airport is short, we had early flight and driving to airport easy and fast.
Cagnes-sur-Mer doesnt have to offer besides the sea, which obviously is not that big of a thing in low season, but I suppose it’s easy to make trips by car from there. Antibes/Cagnes/Juan seem to have plenty of foreigners compared to some other cities we saw north of sea in Provence, ie more french than these beachy places. Anyway, Vanille is quite nice and recommendable place to stay.

This is a lovely little hotel by the sea. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was tastefully decorated, and kept immaculately clean throughout our stay. The bathroom was great, with a powerful shower and shower gel/body lotion provided. The room also has a handy mini fridge. The rooms at the front are probably quite noisy as on the road, but the view is worth it. We felt very much at home during our stay. This is a hotel which is doing everything just right. If I return to the area, I would stay there again!

I booked 2 rooms here for my children. My son (27) arrived at night and the manager told him to be sure to "be quiet" at night time because the hotel was full. There was no air conditioning in the room, and it was very tiny tiny. The bedding had stains on it but was changed after the manager saw it. (he was very snippy though about the situation.) The rooms toward the sea are much nicer and larger. We have an apartment in Cagnes sur Mer and will not book here again for our visitors because of the nasty manager's attitude.

This is a lovely hotel, with very nice friendly owners and is situated in a very good position on the promenade in Cagnes Sue Mer. Unfortunately it is let down by its bedrooms, they are very basic. Our twin room did not have a chair or mirror in the bedroom, nor did it have a headboard. The bathroom was very small and the mirror steamed up whist showering and took a long time to clear. Also we were woken each night by noisy neighbours returning in the early hours.

Breakfast is served in the hotel at an extra charge of 12 euros per person which we found to be very expensive as the cafe next door offered a very good option for 5 euros.

We were offered the last room of this hotel over Easter and were grateful to find a room despite late booking. The hotel is well situated and not too expensive. In all good value ratio.
As we booked the hotel owner told us that this last room was a room with a older type of toilet, not yet renovated to latest standard. Such a comment naturally sparks the question if the toilet is in working order and clean. Answer: yes. Alas...the toilet was a real horror. Ventilation did not work so smell from toilet came into the room and even worse; the toilet was blocked and flooded with content all over the floor that we cleaned out with/through the shower to be able to survive the night. Through the night there were a terrible stench in the room.
The hotel staff was very forthcoming and fixed the problem following day and since there were no alternative rooms over eastern we stayed and assumed that we sort this out in a good way, however at the end of the stay the management said that any type of compensation for the awful night an non-functioning toilet was out of question since it was Easter (!?).
I dont know about all the french traditions, but why a flooded toilet with contents all over the floor is more acceptable during Easter than other times, I fail to understand.
Most disturbing was the almost comical french unpleasant arrogance of the owner. With appx 200 hotel nights during last 12 months I am used to always leave the hotels with a good aftertaste.
This hotel was a unique exeption. Sad since the hotel really have potental.

Right on the big corniche a very nice and small French/Danish hotel.
Big balconies overlooking the ocean. Very basic but clean rooms.Rather new and clean bathrooms. Charming cafe style breakfast with a Danish touch. Very helpful staff.
Free car parking. Cagnes centre and Haute Cagnes is within walking/free bus distance.
With your own car from Nice (Cote de la Sud) Airport just follow the coast road from airport direct to the hotel in approx. 10 minutes.
Excellent location and value for money in this high cost area.

Room small fit for purpose, very clean.

I stayed here for 5 nights, originally I booked only 2 but since I so much liked the hotel and the location. Good place to make trips to Monaco, Cannes, Antibes, St Paul de Vence... This hotel is well organised, clean, cosy feel with nice details in decoration. Gives a family feel, but do not drag you into loosing your privacy - nice balance.
Will certainly use this hotel again.

Lovely spotlessly clean hotel right on seafront with great balconies. The owners and the staff cannot do enough for the clients and the breakfasts are superb with a brilliant fresh orange juice machine. It is in a perfect position and we cannot recommend it enough. The restaurant is also fabulous with great food and lovely staff.
