My second stay at this brilliant boutique hotel, which has become a personal favourite. Again I chose this hotel over more 'prestigious' options for its authentic charm and truly caring approach. It also has the added bonus of being the best location in Cannes! It feels like being a guest at a Bed & Breakfast and thankfully the breakfast coffee was as good as I'd remembered. Quaint & quiet, so a good night's sleep is assured.

We can't recommend this hotel highly enough. You can't beat the location; close to everything. And Cedrick was an incredible host - he was friendly, helpful and offered excellent advice. Fantastic experience and excellent value for money.

I stayed in the Hotel Alize for two nights this May. The people who run the hotel were very friendly, helpful and professional.
The hotel has clearly been renovated to a good standard in the last couple of years and is kept very clean. My single room felt more like a small double, as the bed was definitely bigger than a standard single, more like queen-sized. The room itself was not massive but I didn't feel cramped, and it came with a good-sized en-suite shower room. There's a lift which is great for people like me who take stupidly heavy bags.
The location is great, in a street that's right in the centre of town with restaurants and cafés just metres away, yet it's very quiet with almost zero traffic. The sea front is about 200 metres away, the old port 2 minutes away, the train station and old town both about 5 minutes by foot.
The breakfast is served in a cute breakfast room. It's €8 extra, and you can opt out, but I found it good value: juice, mini croissant + pain-au-chocolat, baguette + jam, and almost unlimited hot drinks. For €59 per night, I thought this hotel was great value for money.

A couple of nearby restaurant tips: Da Laura near the train station is an amazing italian, Le Mesclun in the old town did delicious haute cuisine.

A friend and I recently stayed at Hotel Alize for a 3 night stay. The hotel is only a 5 minute walk from the train station, 2 blocks from the ocean, and a 7 minute walk to the old city. We arrived around noon and were pleasantly surprised that we could access our room early. We stayed in a twin room on the top floor that was very spacious that was also assessable by a tiny lift. The decor/carpet are a little worn and tired, but is was everything we needed for our stay, as we were not going to be spending much time in our room. The price was also great for the location.

The guy who runs the place is so nice and extremely welcoming. Everyday he was so happy to see us. He provided a number of restaurants suggestions to try in the area and also arranged a tour we wanted to go on. He was able to arrange our pick-up from the hotel even though the tour started in Nice. We had a great stay.

When you book a 2-star, you don't arrive with high expectations, so this hotel did not disappoint, but it didn't exceed what little expectation we had, either. The room was small, but clean and the beds were comfortable. No frills. Good central location, walking distance from everywhere.

Just back from a two-week stay in Cannes using the Alize as our base. We were very pleased with this hotel: it has a great location and is clean, with friendly staff. The room was a decent size (esp. compared with two star hotels in Paris!), the bed was comfortable, and towels were changed every day. There was a bit of a problem with the drainage from our shower but the reception staff dealt with it so nicely and professionally that we didn't mind about it too much!

We booked this hotel last minute after speding a night in a Cannes 4 star hotel that was terrible. We were very pleasantly surprised! the reception was warm and friendly, the rooms clean, modern and quiet. The bathrooms were spotless! Only thing was breakfast was a bit small but still good value for Cannes. We would recommend this hotel to anyone who wanted to visit Cannes and be close to everything.
