I stayed at the Cannes Villa St Barths for 5 nights with my girlfriend and must say it was perfect. If you imagine having your own private villa in Cannes this is it. The owners are on site and always at hand to help. With only 4 rooms the Villa will only ever accommodate 8 guests which is perfect, almost hardly ever saw another guest. It is about a 15 minute (fast pace) walk up from the centre of Cannes or a 8 to 10 euro taxi. Food is reasonably priced along with drinks so sitting by the pool all day or on their sun deck drinking rose will not set you back a ridiculous amount.

Just book it... you won't regret it...

Indescribable quiet and luxurious. Wonderful view over the city! An oasis of peace and yet close to everything! Very large garden with swimming pool (and that in a city). Ability to spa. Beautifully decorated room with excellent beds! Very nice owners who make every effort to give you a fantastic holiday!

I stayed at the lovely Cannes Villa St. Barth whilst attending a conference in Cannes and was absolutely delighted with my stay. It is about 2km away from la Croisette and up a very steep hill, so it isn't the most convenient place to stay, but it is so much nicer than anything at a similar price right in the centre of town.

It's best to think of this place as a luxury B&B rather than a hotel - it's a small family business with four large rooms. This isn't the place to come for old school Cannes glamour and formality, it's relaxed and modern and, in my opinion, much better. Valerie and Thierry are wonderful hosts - friendly, welcoming and attentive. They are clearly passionate about their business and they provide a relaxed and unobtrusive but personal service.

My room was beautiful - great bed, minimalist style with a warm, concrete effect bathroom with a huge bath. Perfect for unwinding after a long day of work. Lots of storage space, mini bar filled with soft drinks, nice robes and lovely fluffy towels.

It was winter when I stayed, so I didn't use the garden facilities, but the pool looked beautiful. If I ever return in summer, I will certainly be making use of it. I also had a decent sized private terrace attached to my room. I was working and didn't use the spa facilities so can't comment on those.

Valerie very kindly prepared dinner for me one night so that I didn't have to venture back into town in the rain and I had a killer bœuf bourguignon with potato dauphinoise that I ate on the terrace.

I would recommend this place to anyone - I was on business, but it is a romantic, quiet place perfect for couples wanting to spend some time together. Similarly, I felt completely comfortable as a single man in need of a great bedroom to relax in whilst on business.

This is the first time I ever write a review here and it is just because it was so such a bad experience! I work at a luxury travel agency, work with all the best hotels (Not this hotel ofcourse) and had to book this for 2 nights during the Cannes film festival in last minute because all other hotels we usually stay in were fully booked (e.g. eden roc, majestic barriere).
We booked the biggest suite in the hotel for around 8-900 Euro /night. Before the check- in the staff had told us in respond to our questions regarding the hotel that we had a nice sea view from the room, that the hotel had a spa, that the hotel was very close to the city and that they had restaurants and room-service. Here is what it really was:

-When we entered our room in the warm may weather the floors were ice-cold and made of stone. It was so cold that we could barely walk on it (Not kidding!) Had to put on socks and since the hotel didn't even offer any free slippers inside the room I had to walk around in my shoes.
We complained about this and they said that they would put up the heat in the building, but I never noticed any difference.
-The sea view was ridiculous. You could see a minimal glimpse if you turned your head around while you hanged out from the window.. not like you saw any view from the room.(and then I mean Minimal!! and our room was the only one with the "sea view")
-The hotel doesn't have any restaurant, only a room for breakfast coffe and bread!! Also No Roomservice!!! They only had some Drinks on the room service menu! No food at all!!
-The room was next to a very busy road, could hear fast driving cars all the time.
-The hotel is not near Cannes at all.. we drove fast for about 20 min to reach the croisette.. They told us it was walking distance but the reality is that the hotel is situated very far from the sea.
-We called the reception to book 2 massages in their spa, and it turns out they didn't have any spa!! They had a room with a bathtub that we could not even use for free. I think they wanted 60 euro per person to use the small room.. so ridiculous. Would never call it a spa. Then about the massage, they didn't have any staff for the treatment so they had to call in a lady that could give us the massage which was just a waste of money, bad massage. We had to pre-pay 180 euros for this! I don't think it's ok for the hotel to give the impression to their guests that they have a spa!
-When we checked in we gave the hotel cash for extras and we said that we will pay all extras in cash when we check out. The reason for why we didn't leave our card ( which we always do otherwise, we travel every week) is because we felt that the hotel was not reliable. It was unpleasant. They were so furious that we wouldn't give a credit card that they emptied our minibar and refused to even serve us coffe in the morning even though we had paid for their included breakfast! They took away all water from the minibar so we didn't even have water!! I guess they were afraid we wouldn't pay for the extras since they were aware of all the lies they had told us and that we were very disappointed. But not ok to empty the minibar and refuse to even serve us water or coffe when we offered them money!

Will not visit again!!

Fortunately we called majestic barriere a few times and managed to get a room there at the same cost as for the villa st barth room! Can you imagine that they have the same price for their suite in villa st barth as a room at majestic in the very oceanfront in cannes next to the film palace. What a relief it was to leave that hotel!

The room was a good size, large, light and airy, tastefully done. Good views over Cannes. Quiet and calm. Breakfast was eggs and bacon anyway we wanted them, fruit, drinks, juices and a choice of bakery products either in the room or in the breakfast area. Although we had breakfast around nine, I liked it that if you wanted breakfast in your room you could have it anytime apparently.

We were disappointed in relation to price and what we expected from the photos and descriptions. My husband and I, after working incredibly hard and being exhausted, wanted a 3-day getaway. We dropped the kids off and headed to what we thought would be a luxury B&B with spa, hot tub, pool in the countryside surrounded by the 'tropical gardens'. We just wanted to relax. The 'villa' is in fact in a residential area above Cannes - hence good views - but when we got there, we were told that the spa, jacuzzi, hot-tub had to be reserved in advance and was extra, 69E00 for a couple with champagne or 50E00 - per hour! It was too cold to use the pool (late Feb) so we ended up doing the 30-minute walk to Cannes every day downhill and then taking Über's back. So, in the end, it would have been cheaper and easier to have stayed in Cannes. For a boutique hotel, there wasn't much generosity - nothing was offered - a small bottle of water 3,50 euros, there was a kettle but no coffee or snacks in the room, only one little bottle of shower gel and shampoo (for a couple?), frayed dressing gown (where I found a tab of pills in the pocket!). Cannes is great, but shopping and restaurants wasn't really what we'd wanted and so for 250 euros a night, the trip ended up really expensive and disappointing.

A huge disappointment!
The owners mislead clients into thinking they offer a 5* service (the guest house comes up as Maison d'hotes prestige 5* on search engines)
Don't be fooled, the 5* service is non existent.
Our room (Gouverneur) was spacious but lacked personality, cleaning is not thorough, large cobwebs and a spider, as well as dirt found behind the curtains, and remained throughout our stay (5 nights). There was discarded paper on our sofa, which I ended up throwing in the bin myself.
There was 1 small bottle of shampoo and shower gel for two people, we had to ask for more on the morning of day 3. There is no vanity set. They have installed a wall-mounted make-up mirror, nice but, as the lighting has been badly thought, you can't use it...
The room is equipped with a basic white plastic kettle and only herbal teas are provided, no proper tea... and no coffee machine.
It was confirmed over the phone that the balcony was facing the garden, this wasn’t quite the case, as it overlooked the car park/garage entrance with a glimpse of the garden in the background. I was also told there was a secure garage, which is true except there isn’t enough space to park the cars of all residents staying, and you end up having to park in the outside car park, which is okay but why not be honest about it.
Breakfast: the breakfast is decent but be prepared to wait (like with everything else at this hotel). The pastries are not from an artisan patisserie. You have to wait between 20min to half an hour for a couple of fried eggs. There is a clear lack of staff, when suggested I was told that it was due to Covid... We'd been touring the country for over two weeks and this is the only place where we encountered this problem...
The service is sub-standard, it takes ages to be served, ages for the tables to be cleared, and as a result turtledove birds help themselves on the bread and pastries left out.
The swimming pool is nicely landscaped with mature palm trees, bamboos, banana trees and other plants, unfortunately this is wasted with what should be a palm leaf covered parasol, which has been left with a bare metal structure and some areas look unfinished. The pool is left unattended, towels remain on unoccupied beach beds for hours to end, and the water was sometimes dirty, we wanted to stay at the pool for a bit on our last day, but the water was actually disgusting, some other clients had removed a full bucket of leaves themselves and shared their disappointment with us. No one asks if you want drinks, which one would think would not only be a nice thing to do but would also boost income, but no...
Icing on the cake, on Monday late afternoon we came back to the hotel and headed to the pool, I then noticed that the bar was closing, so I went up and enquired to be told by the owner that Monday is her day off!!!! I beg your pardon?!!! I mean we are in peak season, you run a hotel, with guests who pay €550 a night and you take a day off?! We were beside ourselves! They didn't even think of letting us know that in the morning.
The last day we asked for our bill, they gave us the dry cleaning (2 shirts and ironing for a few items) for free.
I was somehow looking forward to the checkout to share our feedback with the owners, again I guess my expectations were too high as she didn't even bother to ask us how our stay was!!!! I hope they read the reviews, but I doubt it given the lack of interest they show in their clients and the little care they take in their own business.
Well, I could go on with other little details, but I think you get the gist! Go to the Carlton, at least the service is impeccable, it costs the same and the location is perfect! The reason we picked this one over the Carlton was because of the pool and we bitterly regretted it.

Very good to relax, to be in a romantic weekend. We buy a package with 1 hour spa, dinner and breakfast in the bedroom. The spa is small, perfect for two. With jacuzzi, turkish steam bath, a small bathroom and two glasses of champagne. The food was nice beverages not include (only fault, they should have said when we book on phone). We had robe and slippers. The balcony is shut in winter and it was where we made meals. Away from city center.

My boyfriend and I stayed for just 2 nights in September 2014. When we first drove into the underground car park and went inside we both thought the place was very 'James Bond'. Its in a residential area out of town so you absolutely have to have a car, as others have said its also not really a hotel but more of a villa (hence the name). The owner is more than happy to serve you food or drinks either by the pool or in your room but you have to call her in advance. The rooms were impressive, very modern and luxurious and the grounds are beautiful. The owner has done an impressive job of making this place feel like a tropical paradise when in fact it is in quiet area on the outskirts of Cannes. It is a very peaceful place, perfect for couples who would rather not stay in the centre of Cannes.

Stayed at this beautiful hotel for 2 wonderful nights. Very hospital hosts and delightful breakfast. I honestly didn't want to leave!

The pool is gorgeous and the decor is very different but lovely.

The shower wasn't the greatest because it was open concept but that's the only thing that I can say was not perfect. The architecture and top floor solarium is stunning!

10 mins ride to Cannes. Beautiful and safe area: I loved it!

We stayed for a week at the beautiful Villa St Barth, and enjoyed every minute of our stay. I am not sure what planet the previous person who commented is from as the villa does afford a beautiful sea view, from the restaurant or the roof terrace. The polished concrete floors are very cooling, certainly not cold at all, there are slippers available in room. The food is fantastic and we were made extremely welcome and nothing was a problem including a massage arranged for my wife! We would highly recommend the villa to anybody looking for a beautiful alternative to a hotel. It's is only a 15 min downhill walk into Cannes through a lovely area. A perfect week with wonderful hosts and worth every penny!
