From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a genuine smile. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of my experience was nothing short of perfection.

The hotel itself is a true gem, exuding elegance and charm at every corner. The attention to detail in the decor, the luxurious amenities, and the breathtaking views made my stay truly unforgettable. Whether it was relaxing by the beach on those comfortable chairs or simply unwinding in the comfort of my beautifully appointed sea view room, every moment was amazing.

We've just returned from three nights at the Martinez. Our Premium Room (for the 2nd and 3rd night) was lovely - beautifully decorated and with everything we could need and very quiet (we were on the 6th floor). Breakfast was excellent - the smiling lady who greeted and seated us each day was an absolute star and really made our breakfast experience a pleasure, as did all the friendly and efficient waiting staff. We had a cocktail in the bar on the second night, which again was a wonderful experience with excellent waiting staff. We would have returned for a drink another night but unfortunately the bar was closed for a private event for two of three nights we were there.

My review would definitely be 5 stars had it not been for the fact that as part of our offer (Secret Escapes) we should have recieved a guaranteed upgrade from a deluxe room to a premium room. However, we were originally allocated a deluxe room (tiny wardrobe space and no bathtub) - the room just wasn't as nice and didn't meet our expectations. To be fair, when we spoke to reception they immediately changed us to the correct grade of room, which we were very happy with, but it was a shame we were not allocated the correct room initially, so had one night in a disappointing room. Also, we are quite used to 5* hotel prices but felt that the mini bar and room service charges were extortianate (for example, almost Eur 50 for a club sandwich), so we did not use either.

Overall though, a brilliant hotel with wonderful staff. The refurbishment is sophisticated and modern but still retains the historic character and style of the original Martinez hotel. We hope to return and try the gastronimic restaurant next time.

Dear Emma, I wanted to thank you for having taken the time to give us your feedback concerning your stay at the Hotel Martinez. I am really touched that you would be likely to recommend us and very happy to see that overall you enjoyed your stay with us. Above all thank you for your compliments concerning the staff service and attitude. However, I am sorry to read your disappointment concerning the reservation of your room. I will be in touch with the Front Office manager in order for these issues not to happen again. The attention and care to the guest has to be the mean goal and I assure you of my follow up on this regards. I hope to have the pleasure to welcome you back and I thank you again for the wonderful review. Sincerely Georges

Just completed a wonderful 4 day stay at this marvellous hotel. Yes it was off season but the service was second to none. The rooms were spacious and elegant and the hotel staff were extremely attentive and helpful.

The breakfast was very good, with an impressive selection of patisseries. My only complaint would be that it isn’t immediately obvious that you can order eggs in different forms to the scrambled ones offered in the buffet. Also there could have been a better selection of breakfast fruits (eg berries). But this is a minor point and I’m being very picky. The staff were more than happy to bring omelettes and poached eggs from the kitchen and they had bananas, kiwis, apples, satsumas, grapefruit and melon on offer.

My only other observation is that despite the beach being empty (given low season) there is still a deck charge for guests €30 for the front row and €20 for the second row per chair. Perhaps management would consider waiving this charge on reducing it on quieter days.

Other than that, the rooms are very comfortable. We were double upgraded and had interconnecting rooms with our children and so we had some nice features like electric blinds and curtains as well as very spacious bathrooms and dressing rooms.

The location is also extremely convenient, occupying a prominent spot on Le Croisette and the town centre is a short stroll away.

Overall highly recommend the hotel on all fronts and we will definitely be coming back for another visit.

It was the first trip for us as a family to the beautiful city of Cannes and all expectations were saying that it would be a wonderful trip, and we chose Martinez Hotel for its location and for some specifications such as the bathroom, which was suitable for our needs. The flight from Paris to Cannes was in the morning and was a bit tiring, but what made us so tired was waiting for the rooms to be ready, which made us upgrade the type of rooms with a view of the sea, and it was more expensive, of course, and I didn’t know that she gave me a room for people with special needs. But from the beginning of our entry to one of the rooms, we found that the wardrobe doors were stuck and could not be opened, so we asked them to clear the problem, so they sent the technician, who continued to fix the problem for more than forty minutes, and after he fixed it three hours, the doors broke again, and the problem is that the safe in which passports are kept, for example It's inside and I couldn't get anything out of it, and I waited for more than half an hour for them to send someone, but no one came, so I had to go down and found the relationship manager. . He apologized and sent a request to the technician again, who repaired the locker, but this time well. The next day, in the morning, I wanted to use the bathroom, and the rinser broke with full force and sprayed hot water everywhere, I was trying hard to control the situation until I was able to do so and turned off the water. And when I went down to talk to someone, they sent me to Mrs. Natalie, your relationship manager, I think, and she told me that she would try to erase this bad experience and turn it into a wonderful experience, and all I did was fix the bidet and put some juice bottles and two papers and a color box containing five or six colors so that my children could play with it . I think if I had been elsewhere, would have been much better, but the difference, I think, is the lack of professionalism in hospitality.

A rollercoaster hotel with excellence and unbelievable shortfalls.
Pros:
Location, building, smiling and kindness of the personnel, room size.
Cons:
Lack of organization and professionalism in the restaurants mostly for breakfast.
Cleaning: moquette all over that cannot be properly cleaned
Spa: very poor and uninviting
Price of the extras: extravagant to be gentle. Fell like been always robbed.

I’m a repeating customer only for the location, the view, the kindness of the people and the hospitality for the dog (also if at crazy price of 70 euro per day, highest price always paid!!).
If for you it’s enough go without high expectations also if I don’t think you will find something much better at la croisette. (We usually come to Cannes with friends that are in other 5 stars hotels and their complaints are more or less the same).

Truely amazing hotel. We stayed there for 6 days at the end of August, beggining of September and we are very happy to have chosen this beautiful hotel for our first couples' vacation this year. Taking into consideration the new global situation, we felt extremely safe during our stay. All the staff is very well trained and respect all the anti covid measures. Everyone is very "high customer service" orientated, extremely friendly and always helpfull. The cleanliness of this hotel makes it one of my favourites in the whole world :) The view is truely mazing, especially if you choose the sea view room and you have the chance to be located at a higher floor. The food is great. I'm sorry that we didn't get the chance to try the 2 star Michelin restaurant ( due to the covid situation and the table arrangements, it was quite impossible for us to book a table in the 2 days opening time) , but is defietly a must for our next visit! For sure, this hotel is the best choice if you wish to experience the real French Riviera feeling. In love , so so in love and we promiss to be back every single summer for the rest of our lives. Thank you, Hotel Martinez for a holiday that we will always cherish and for making us love Cannes even more! Congratulations are in order for the entire management team and for all of you that are dedicated to your work at The Martinez, Cannes. P.S. Actually, The Martinez is not just a hotel, The Martinez is a feeling !

Fantastic remodel with light modern colors, beach theme without being tacky, and very comfortable rooms with great lighting and modern plug ins all over the room. Excellent and caring staff. Hotel rooms expensive but not outrageous. Restaurant prices are steep (e.g. 48 Euros for buffet breakfast) but this is Cannes and a 5 star hotel). The location is great; on the main oceanfront boulevard but a bit removed from the real crowds closer to old town and the casino yet just 5 minute walk to the main shopping Rue D Antibe and 15 minutes to old town. We would definitely stay here again

The Martinez is one of the iconic hotels in Cannes and a good choice for a few nights. Rooms have been recently refurbished and feel crisp and spacious. We had an ocean facing room which I would recommend if budget allows.

There was a spacious his/her wardrobe and lovely art-deco bathroom in powder blue. Our room seemed to be a connecting room which I usually don’t like, but the insolation seemed good, so you couldn’t hear anything.

The hotel doesn’t have a pool, but you are literally opposite the beach and the Martinez offers access to a private beach and deck, which is one of the reasons why I booked the hotel.

Breakfast is buffet style and busy in the summer. I’m not a buffet fan, so I can’t be neutral with my comments here, but the other half enjoyed it. The garden is beautiful for breakfast and we always got a nice table. It’s also great for people watching….

The hotel Concierge was excellent and arranged an in-room PCR test for our return to the UK and the results came in relatively quickly.

My only comment would be on the valet parking. Obvs the most expensive cars are parked out front, but every other car seems to be parked miles away somewhere. It took literally forever to get your car back and we had to wait a good 30min at times.

If you are going to Cannes, the Martinez is certainly a good choice, but I also like the Majestic.

We would like to thank you for your feedback regarding your previous stay at the Hôtel Martinez. We are very happy indeed that you could find some enjoyment through your room attribution or even through the services provided by our Concierges. We are currently building a spa wellness center that should be ready by the end of the year and that will include a swimming pool. We would like to present you our apologies regarding the time you spent waiting for your car. They had a kids club when I was there at New Year. I would just check with the hotel if they have at Summer time. For sure, with reference to my review avoid the noisy room we had. Enjoy your stay at the French Riviera!
