Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A real soundproofing problem, another real problem is the age of the furniture, very old, a good renovation and a change of furniture could give a real 3 star hotel, to my taste deserves 2 stars maximum, a real disappointment for a short stay that I really did not want to extend

The owner is friendly and helpful and always there and you get homely feeling while at the hotel. The hotel is small and old but the rooms are very clean. You need to walk 10 mins to walk to the Main Street. It doesn't have any facilities besides breakfast hall. Breakfast is good compared to other comparable hotels and the coffee is real good.

We stayed at Albert 1er hotel for 2 nights. It is a small clean and cozy hotel with walking distance (15 min) to the touristic areas of tge town. The hotel supplies ( toileteries etc) were good as well as the room service. On the negative side, I would say lack of reception during the major hours of tge day. We waited to have someone open the door for us once we arrived. Noone was tgere and door was locked. The other day we needed new towels but there was no receotion, actually noone in the hotel, between 1 pm to 5 pm. Also the outer of tge hotel is so dark at night. You walk back at night and there is no single light or lamp outside of the hotel. This also applies to its parking.

If you arrive in Cannes by bus and you have luggage, consider taking a taxi because the hills are steep. But once you arrive, you will be captivated by welcoming hosts, a charming boutique hotel, and a warm and friendly atmosphere. Thank you for your kind hospitality and a lovely stay.

We stayed for a week while working nearby - lovely hotel, wonderful location just a few minutes walk from the old town. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful to us. I have recommended the hotel to all of my friends. Would certainly return. Thank you to the staff.

We stopped here for 3 nights. The staff were very helpful and kind! The room was clean and a good size, my only criticism would be the shower as it didn't have a hock on the wall to hold the shower head so was a little difficult showering! The lady we saw at breakfast was a delight, she was so warm and welcoming, very kind! The breakfast was nice, for €9 you get half a baguette, cheese, jams, yoghurt, orange, croissants, coffee, this was plenty for me and my partner to share! Lovely hotel, and a great location to the harbour, about a 5 min walk. Maybe a little too steep for people with disabilities, and also steep steps. The hotel had parking spaces. Great little find! Highly recommended!

After staying in Nice where the staff were really rude and unfriendly we were so delighted with Evelyn and her husband who greeted us at the hotel. The room was lovely, with sound proof Windows and very comfortable. It was about a 10 minute walk from the port and Evelyn showed us all the places to go when we arrived. I would go back and recommend!

I was on a business trip, and found myself with a day spare. After a quick search for a last minute hotel, I picked this. My choice was partly price, and partly location based. I was driving a box van, and despite the advantage of on site parking, I found a space within a 5 minute walk on the nearby streets, so as not to block the parking for all other clients. The welcome was warm, and inviting. The room clean, and surprisingly spacious. Breakfast in the courtyard was delightful, and the coffee divine! The hosts could not have been more welcoming, or friendly.. I echo one of the other advisers reviews, and say that the larger chains could learn a thing or two about this level of customer sevice. Advise about local restaurants, bars and sights was freely and accuratly offered.. Would definately return, should I be lucky enough to find myself at a loose end in Cannes again. Thank you.
