Amazing stay at the brand new canopy in Cannes. I was originally booked at the JW, but after reading reviews on how terrible it has become, we decided to hop on over and try this new property out. I highly recommend this hotel. Especially the kindness of front desk “enthusiasts” Yamine and Carmen made our stay extra special! Thank you once again for an amazing and memorable stay.

Breakfast great, views great!

Dropped in for a drink on the rooftop bar, and it was fab. Lovely setting, and the staff and service was exceptional. We only had a drink, a bottle of the house Rose which was lovely and reasonably priced at 40 euro for the location. The hotel has only just opened after being closed for over 18 months, so I can not comment on the food or quality of the refurbished rooms. Has the best view of the Cannes Bay and Islands beyond.
I stayed here some ten years for my 50th, and hopefully may return for my 60th. We have an apartment in Cannes, so we will definitely use the rooftop bar when in town.
The only negative of the refit is the cheap IKEA looking orange chairs at the entrance to the hotel, which was my first impression, and not the 5 star look they are aiming for!

A fantastic addition to Hilton hotels in France. The staff are young and enthusiastic and Camilla is a real star who makes everyone feel special. Our king deluxe room offered a fantastic view of the marina and sea and we never tired of seeing it when we woke up in the morning. The room itself was very well equipped and quite spacious. Everything was spotlessly clean and housekeeping was excellent. As Hilton diamond members we were given complimentary breakfast. The breakfast team were amazing and the extensive buffet set us up for the day. At €35 though it seemed a bit steep if we had had to pay for it. For this standard and price of hotel we think the rooms should have a smart TV and guests should have free access to the pool.
Cannes seems to be one big building site and the area directly in front of the hotel is no exception. Extensive and noisy engineering works are taking place for the next 2 or 3 years and at times they are very loud.
Would we come here again? Definitely. A little bit of luxury and sunshine cannot be beaten!

Dear Sir and Madam, What a pleasure to read your comment! We are absolutely delighted to have been able to transform your experience! Our entire team was delighted to welcome you, and personally, I was delighted to be able to take care of you during this time. Nothing makes me happier than to know that I was able to contribute to making your experience special. I must confess that this morning, as I made my way to breakfast, I felt a certain sadness when I realized that you weren't there. I'm already missing your smile and our morning chats with your charming English accent! But I know you'll be back to visit us in October :) ! In the meantime, I wish you a wonderful trip to discover our beautiful France. If you're planning your next trip, don't hesitate to contact me - experience@canopycannes.com- I'll be happy to make your next stay even more better, beetwen sunshine and luxury! A très bientôt !

The good : Chris and the other concierges but Chris especially was brilliant with his restaurant recommendations
An older blonde lady at reception : seemed very kind
The spa team all brilliant
The rooftop restaurant team and their manager - bless him he tried to help me with Wi-Fi issues though really front desk should have done that
The bad:
Inconsistent housekeeping sometimes cleaned up everything sometimes things were left but when asked did do as requested
Misunderstanding or miscommunication between the hotel and BA Holidays through which we booked. Room advertised on BA as including evening tasting and a welcome gift, which we did not receive bar one attempt on one day to give us a single muffin and a bottle of juice to compensate. Despite a few attempts to resolve this with the hotel it never was and no one followed up with us proactively. Hotel kept claiming it was BA issue (we have asked BA to look into it) but considering this is a brand new hotel you’d have thought they would make more of an effort to gain customer satisfaction whoever’s ‘fault’ it was .

I believe this hotel has opened in a hurry without nailing it, especially for the price.
I also feel staff may not have worked in hotels previously, the service is not high not even basic. No explanation of where gym, pool, spa area is which is fairly tricky to find. The gym has no towels, water, mats, sanitiser or sanitiser wipes to wipe down equipment.
I discovered that the spa isn't working yet.
The pool is lovely but no service, you cannot have drinks or food.
Bathroom offers no body lotion, vanity kit etc and is very very tiny, shower door almost scrapes the toilet.
Sadly my room view isn't great and was $750+ Aud a night.
The breakfast is OK, the view is magic from the restaurant which makes up for the simple offering.
I'm sure there are other hotels which are worth the money.
Restaurant was closed for a private function one of the nights

I was very disappointed with my stay last week in Cannes at the Canopy by Hilton. 1) The hotel advertises the pool in marketing materials but, in fact, it is not included in your stay. You must pay 20 Euros every 90 minutes to use the pool, which is ridiculous. The hotel should not be advertising the pool as this is not an amenity - but rather operated by another party that charges you access. 2) Upon checking in, I was not thanked or acknowledged for my Hilton Honors status as I usually am at other properties. 3) Upon checking out, I was told I need to pay for the "remaining half" of my stay. I explained I paid in full when checking in. And I was also charged a separate charge for incidentals that was supposed to be returned to me. The receptionist argued with me stating her computer showed I did not pay for my full stay and only half, demanding me to pay. Thank god, I did not throw away my credit card receipt as I normally do. I was able to prove I paid in full for my stay upon check-in. She did finally apologize but said she needed my credit card receipt to confirm. And if I threw away my receipt? I find it shocking that her computer system showed no record of my payment in full. Please pay special attention when checking out and retain all receipts. 4) Rooftop bar has gorgeous views but the host initially refused to seat us. Very rude staff. She said "maybe" she could accommodate us in 20 minutes although they don't reserve tables. There were many empty tables. After waiting for 15 minutes and stating I was a hotel guest, she finally sat me and my friend at one of the plentiful empty tables. 5) Avoid going in May as the Cannes Film Festival preparation has all the beaches blocked. Without access to the beach in front of the hotel due to barricades - and because the pool charged you for every 90 minute stay, this wasn't an ideal or enjoyable holiday. I won't return.

Dear Guest, Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent stay at Canopy by Hilton Cannes. We deeply regret that your experience did not meet your expectations. Firstly, regarding the pool access, we would like to clarify that our spa, which includes the pool, is an integral part of our hotel. The fee and the limited time for the pool is a standard policy during peak times to ensure all guests can enjoy a serene and uncrowded environment. Given that we are a hotel with 141 rooms and have a limited spa space, unrestricted access would prevent guests from having a truly relaxing experience. However, we do waive this restriction when the spa is less in demand, allowing guests to enjoy the facilities without limited time. We apologize if your Hilton Honors status was not acknowledged appropriately. Recognizing our loyal guests is very important to us, and we regret any oversight in this regard. Your feedback will help us improve our service to ensure every guest feels valued and recognized. Regarding the check-out experience, we are sincerely sorry for the inconvenience and confusion caused by the payment. This situation does not reflect the standard of professionalism we strive to maintain. We are reviewing our procedures to prevent such issues in the future. Lastly, we apologize for your experience at the rooftop bar. Our intention is to provide exceptional service to all guests, and we regret that you encountered any rudeness or delay in seating. Your comments will be addressed with our team to enhance our service standards. Thank you for bringing these issues to our attention. Sincerely,

As a frequent traveller I am relatively critical about hotels. But this new 4 star Canopy hotel was great. I write by purpose 4 star, as that is what you should expect from this hotel: Staff is great, but yes sometimes it could be more efficient, but that's also the charm of this hotel. It didn't bother me.

Rooms are great. A fresh new design, different than the standard. We had a nice balcony with sea view. Temperature control in the room works great, which for me is absolutely important. First night we didn't get it cold. When we asked next morning they informed me that they had to switch something, as the cooling standard is shut off in the winter. Within 5 minutes someone showed up in my room and yes, we could cool the room down.

Location is great. At the corner of the harbour and the sea front, 10 minutes walk from Le Palais. Breakfast at the roof top is good, food quality could be a bit better, but he, freshly made omelettes! A big plus.

I absolutely recommend this hotel is you are looking for a comfortable, modern designed hotel with friendly staff

We were greeted by a LOVELY young lady at reception ( sorry didn’t get your name) and even escorted to view the surroundings.
Room was great, everything you needed.
The seventh floor restaurant was spectacular with views over Cannes, virtually 360 degrees
The spa and pool ( indoor out) Amazing, wonderful views.
Parking was full but was told to park across the road … only €19 and right at the ferry terminal to Margarite island
Coming back next year for sure 😍

We had a quick one night here after staying at the Carlton and were worried it would seem poor after that experience however the Canopy really delivers. It is a refurbishment of the former Raddisson there. Friendly staff, great portside location, stunning views and a younger funky vibe. We liked the redesigned room and little balcony. The roof terrace was amazing- good buffet breakfast then a restaurant and cocktail bar at night. Stunning views. We tried the pool which is accessed via a tunnel off Reception into an adjacent apartment block to an indoor outdoor pool, decent enough but not exciting. Some onsite parking but it was full on arrival so we parked across the street in the port car park serving the Lerin islands ferries. Highly recommend ! Mid level price for Cannes at 300 euros pn. We shall return

The hotel is typical Hilton business hotel with nice spa and pool: very good massage by Deborah . I would recommend and will come back for my next visit in Cannes. I would suggest to check the serving temperature of food offered during breakfast on the top floor restaurant. Very beautiful views from up there .

When we were there April 11 to 20, it was pretty horrendous. Pile drivers and all types of heavy earth moving equipment immediately in front of the hotel and sea front. We thought about leaving and the hotel agreed to waive penalties if we decided to do so. We were moved to a room at the side with a view of the port and that was a lot better but still had a great impact with dust and noise. We were also offered a suite at the back. The hotel are hoping that the intensity of work and of noise will be much better soon. Everything else about the hotel was great.

I am not sure. Best to check with the hotel. Used to be 25 euro per day per room the last time we stayed there before refurb and new owners. The spa was good. Choice of 4 beach bars across the road, sun bed and towel around 25 euro per day. All good. Hotel guests probably get a deal at one of the them. We have an apartment in cannes, so just use the roof top bar, from time to time. I love the location of the hotel. Good luck Alan
